  1. Hello Sus I feed my dogs the whole carcass as well. I have a small terrier X and he loves to chomp on them whole. As was said before, it just takes a smaller dog longer to eat it all. Cheers Netti
  2. Has anyone any information of Lure coursing in Tasmania. I would love to let my dogs have a go. Netti
  3. I know the feeling, I used to worry about one of my pups being left alone during the day. Maybe you know someone who stays at home that you could take him to for some of the days, or some responsible person to come to your place and spend some time with him and/or take him for a walk. I used to get up early and take my pup for a walk, give him a feed and hoped that that made him really tired so he would sleep most of the time. As others have said plenty of toys and bones to chew. All the best in your new job.
  4. My dogs also eat grass. I just see it as them supplementing their diets and they know what is good for them. Very occasionally they eat grass to induce vomitting(sp) but usually they munch away happily and it comes through as undigested fibre at the other end. They also like to have a chew on raw carrots and cabbage with much the same result. Hope this helps. Cheers Netti
  5. My 5 year old Aussie TerrierX walks just behind my right heel constantly wether we are at home or out for a walk. I only put him on a lead because of the law. My 10 month old Smithfield X Border Collie is starting to walk very nicely on my left side with a harness. I have tried several things with him like a check chain and Halti but at the suggestion of my dog obedience trainer I tried a harness and this seems to suit him well. As we live on a farm with plenty of room for running free I have to make time to put him in the harness and make him walk nicely. We either go into town and walk around or I put his harness on and we walk all the country roads, although this is not so nice on dark winter night with no street lights.
  6. They do have lamb off cuts but all they seem to be at the moment is fat with a little meat. I know what you mean, I stay away from lamb off cuts as my dogs dont seem to like them, and I dont like all the fat on them. At the moment the beef soup bones from Woolies seem cheap and they have lots of meat on them. Cant help you with the choking thing as my dogs dont seem to have this problem.
  7. $15 for human wings that sounds so cheap. Just think of the saving of fuel costs if we could fly I would order a couple for myself Sorry, I just couldnt resist saying it
