  1. Thank you will apply for these as all lovely but think most want a companion dog. Not fussed on any particular breed. Love them all
  2. Thank you all for your trouble and good advice. Perhaps after Anzac Day I might receive interest in my applications. Every time any of you put a dog female and now male dog/puppy in, I try for it. You are right about me wanting any or most breeds, but we love animals, so know it dosen't matter to us as long as the dog is happy and loves us, as we will her/him (I do put animals first) We have had a Samoyed, and a Setter and not to long ago two Maremmas when we had a big Emu Farm in Gippsland. Will just wait patiently - maybe not patiently, but at least quieter. You have all been very kind and I do appreciate the interest. Vic. is sure not only the State of four Seasons in one day but a place very difficult to find a dog I had a reply (just the one so far) from a lovely lady breeder with an 8 week King Charles Spaniel for sale, but it is $2,200 and although absolutely georgeous we do not really need a purebred puppy. We would still have to have her spayed and shots. Someone who really wants her should have her as the lady said she has taken of the ad. as so many applications.
  3. Thank you folks all advice taken into consideration. Just about given up hope anyway.
  4. Hi Persephone, I have sent in to Petrescue and asked for 'Dolly' and if not her, gave them my same story on wanting a little female dog. The only reason we are wary of boys is we had our old male cat pass, and he would pee on anything if we were not VERY careful with him (a bit of a nightmare actually) but we loved him and accepted him for 10 years. This Oriental was supposedly desexed when we got him (not a kitten) but apparently when we had him checked because of him completely acting like a male with his sister, they found one testicle was still further in, so only one had been removed. Both my husband and I have looked and looked and looked (my husband knows just how much I want a cuddly little dog) and he will love her to bits also. Thanks again folks.
  5. Such lovely pics. of your dogs. Couldn't one of you let us have one of them PLEASE
  6. Oh 'Heavens to Mergatroid', I will have to 'up' my ads. Thank you for your support folks. I have written to many breeders and always say desexed, female up to 5. Thinking they may have a darling finished breeding. sob sob they do not care I AM DESPERATE. I would love a Rescue but no replies other than one saying we were not close enough for them to make sure all is well.
  7. Thank you Boronia, and Sarsplodicus. Beautiful dogs. I think being in Vic. seems to be a hindrance. I have sent so many e-mails, so patiently (I fib. not patiently) am waiting and checking every 15 minutes
  8. We have been to the Morwell one, but have to admit just e-mailed applications, and phoned the others. How dreadful to have a dog euthanized when looking for it. I honestly cannot believe it is so very difficult to adopt a dog without papers, and just wanting a small female I can cuddle and wants to be with us. and sleep with us. My husband and I love animals and just 3 months ago adopted two dear cats from a Geelong Rescue which is a long way from us, but they graciously brought them to us. I wanted 'one' to cuddle, but we agreed to take the two only to find they will NOT sit on our knees or come into the bedroom lol. We could not let them go back even though they really seem to just want us for food but that's o.k. we love em. I have to have a little dog loves me for me though We are retired so always home to spend time with our animals. One of these furrys we have, started jumping on the side table and taking my teabag out of my cup so now I make two cups of tea for us, and one cup with a drop of tea in it and a used teabag and she takes it out 7 times a day lol.
  9. Hi again Juice, I tried to send Dogmad a P.M. but it says "unable to receive P.M.'s. I am sorry folks to be such a nuisance.
  10. Thank you Juice. I will susse out how to P.M. Dogmad on here
  11. I have also sent e-mails to around 6 Breeders but no replies as I thought they may have a cutie finished breeding but no again.
  12. Juice, I have advertised willing to pay $1,200 for a 2-4 year old Female any breed affectionate small dog. I have just checked Gumtree once again but nothing. We are willing to travel 250 k's as I also stated, and pay petrol/expenses to get her.
  13. I even asked a very nice senior gentleman outside the supermarket this morning if he wanted to sell his little girl - a Silky I think. I do not think he kept watch as we all went into the S.M., but I did say to husband "I will keep the man talking and you pop her in one of our bags. LOL nah I have not come to that yet, er But..............................:) Desperate Phyl.
  14. RuralPug, Mita and Dame Danny's Darling We applied as soon as you mentioned Dolly. Would love her to bits but received no reply back
  15. Thank you for your help RuralPug. What lovely people here
  16. Sent e-mails to SO many - no replies as yet. Realise they are mostly volunteers. Getting just a tad despondent .... Thank you so much folks for your kind replies. I appreciate every one. and waiting (trying to be patient) for someone to tell us what we want to hear. Paying for the right one is not a problem.
  17. Thank you again for your help but no small dogs available at Starting Over.
  18. Thank you Dame Danny's Darling. Bear IS lovely but we have our heart set on a female to sit on my knee. .................... Lucy and Fluffy are so sweet but we just want one please.
  19. Thank you so much folks. I am hunting, trying, and desperate Best wishes for you for today. Phyl.
  20. Sorry I messed up posting folks. Powerlegs thank you so much for the reply.
