I used EPO for my girl when she went through a fear period,I used 1000 mg tabs 4 times a day.Just squirt the tab into food and mix. I would try her on a smaller dose then a Rott.One/two tab per day for 1 month,if no Improvement use it longer, you need to use it for a few weeks before it takes effect.
It calmed my girl and now she is as confident and bright as any other well adjusted dog. Health food stores and places like Safeway/Coles/Chemists etc always carry it.It brightens up a dull coat too.It is a bit of a jack of all trades tab.For us humans and dogs alike.
Hope it helps.
It is commonly used for the relief of PMT, arthritic pain, stress etc In human women. It can adjust moods too.

Try some Evening primrose oil for a couple of months and see if any changes to her temperament, she may become more relaxed in her environment and thus become friendlier, she might need some time out of the show ring to do some basic obedience one on one with her owner till she is well behaved to bring back out into the public then some obedience classes with other people/dogs and maybe some shows....

Thanks everyone, I am just glad that I have been able to do this. For a while there I did think about sending her to boot camp for dogs and take the easy way out. But it is so much more satisfying to be able to have done this myself, with help from Erny and the RVC of course.
- Maddy after a hard day, trying to fit on a tiny bed.
- Lizzy - Piper - Maddy. All ready for treats..
OK - I know those photos don't exactly show how strong she is but Erny can vouch for that. But they do show the lovely gentle side of her... :D
Maddy is only 10 months old and at 38 kg already.
Good for you guys Lisa! Well done.
Just Gorgeous! Hey her sister is now 38 kg to :p however currently on a eating strike!!!! Naughty Abby pictured.

Someone reported that we'd be discussing training equipment...
Now why doesn't that surprise me...
That's Ridiculous. If they didn't want to hear the content being discussed why attend.
-
Which day was that? Perhaps they thought they might catch some prong collars etc....
Illegally docked dogs who know's.......

Oh Excellent! Get to spy on the OH at the seminar whilst looking at the action there. :D

Care to share more please. :D

Off Immediate topic but on somewhat..
Perhaps people wanting further Information on training tools could go directly to this site.
-
Probably been said already a dozen times.....but a training tool is only effective if that dog responds to that particular correction and what works for some may not for others.A Prong collar should be available just like the check chain, Head Halter,Harness etc etc.........All are training devices with there own + and -
All training devices are s*it if they are used in the wrong hands.E- collars attract much emotion.Yet it seems more people are ok with these.....
Me personally whatever works.........

Speaking on behalf of the OH.He is BUGGERED. Now he's gone to work. He's driven fours return today too. What a dog nutter..... Hmm I should be careful, I know he's got a dol account but it's only got 4 posts....what a noob!
-
My OH will be there all 3 days with both of our dogs. .................Me in spirit..
-
Hmm fair enough, mine get wet too must be ss on mine.Actually I have one hung up on the gate,it's been there for around 3 months, just noticed it is all rusty like..........yet not the others..
-
Mine have never worn badly. So I think maybe just replace it. I've got Heman Sprenger made check chains and the no brand ones from Woolworths and neither have ever done what you are describing.
-
