  1. Beautiful shots Grizabella

When shooting through the glass/Perspex do you put the lens right up to it or do you cover the camera to avoid the glare?

Can't wait for Spring to become a member, if I get a shot half as good as the ones on the pages I will be over the moon :D

They announced on the news tonight that Karta is expecting :cheer:

  3. Thanks guys

Manual was scary to start with as all my photos where coming out very dark but eventually after changing settings and lots of "check to see if that made a difference" photos I got there

These where taken at the old Railway Station, it was starting to rain harder now but I was determined or is that just crazy

    this fence looked very nasty

  4. Went out yesterday to practice manual settings  . The weather was horrible, light to heavy drizzle, overcast with the occasional burst of sun. Think I left it a bit late in the day as it was quite dark but made for more of a challenge :D

Taken at the local wet lands.

  5. Thanks guys :D

I love watching my boys race (they have been racing since they where 5) but also the big bikes etc, the only thing is they go so fast and are so loud it is hard getting a good photo. Most of the time it is over in just a few seconds but I have learnt to take ear plugs, makes it easier to take photos when you fingers aren't in your ears

  7. Both my boys race Sand Drags in the Open Motocross class, Hubby and eldest sometimes also race their quads.

Both the boys are always in the top 3 often coming 1st and 2nd.

Here are a few of my favourite photos from last season including the big boys on their V8 bikes (these bikes have car V8 motors in them and are huge) and a couple friends buggies :)

not the best photo but this photo went national as this is very hard to flip a bike this size and even harder to bring it back down and still race

  8. I know exactly how you feel T

I have read heaps, watched heaps (youtube is great) and written down cheat notes that live in my camera bag.

I go out and practice taking random stuff around the house and yard and some works but most don't and I have no idea what I am doing wrong and it is very frustrating :(

I would love to do some courses but alas funds don't stretch that high.

I also take a lot of action shots and normally leave my camera on sports.

I have learnt so much in just a couple months and am hoping I can learn this too :)
