  1. Would yourself and the old owners feel ok about meeting in a public place, like at a park?

This way the dog might focus more on the novel surrounding and the car trip home (if she enjoys car rides) than the fact that the previous owners are disappearing again.

  2. Bad luck Mel. Thats what happened to Harvey. I didn't show him after 6 months old I just didn't see the point and didn't want to be nil awarded. I waited until Harvey was about 13 months old and it was evident that it was never coming down so had him desexed. When the vet desexed him she said it was so far up in his stomach there was never a hope in hell that it was ever down to start with, although the breeders told me that at 6 weeks old he had 2 testes descended!!! I am now just so anal about testes :D :D Our new baby Bullmastiff when he flew up that was the first thing I checked  He is now 3 months old and definately has 2 testes. I would hold onto him and wait and see but if you are like me by then I was so attached to Harvey I couldn't rehome him  so he stayed!! Do what you think is best!!

    :D :D :D New big footed baby!!

  3. Found the ruling:

9.3 For Conformation purposes, a dog six months of age or over shall not be accepted as

physically entire unless both testicles have fully descended and are in the scrotum.

Any dog disqualified for this reason at a Conformation Show will have its registration

suspended until it can be proved to the satisfaction of the Member body that it is

    physically entire. (05/00)

9.4 Any dog suspended in accordance with 9.3 shall not be accepted for stud purposes

and any litter sired by the dog will not be accepted for registration. (05/00)

9.5 Any dog over the age of twelve months which is proven to be non entire shall be

deregistered or transferred to the Limited Register. (05/00)

I wasn't planning to continue showing him for much longer if it didn't come down. Looks like he misses out this weekend, there appears to be no leeway. :(

I'll monitor him for a little longer, just to see what happens. If there's no action soon though I'll have to consider my options. :(

  4. I think you will also find that once he has been dismissed for not being entire that you may have to have him examined by a panel of judges....I cant quite remember the ruling.

I wasn't aware there was such a ruling.... would that be ANKC or a state thing?

Will have to search through the DogsNT rulings.

  5. I don't agree but everyone will have their own opinion :)

Can the 2nd one be located?

I'm not great at feeling myself :o The vet seems to think it may be there but she wasn't definite. She thought he may have just been sucking it up.

I've been checking every day since Saturday.

  6. We were at the vet over the weekend, she seemed to think give him another 6 months?

He seems a bit behind his litter sister who we have kept; she has her adult teeth already and he still has his babies.

Whether this is another manifestation of being a little behind? He was the smallest of the litter whether that has anything to do with anything developmentally....

  7. Just want to say to Mel, congrats to you and Blaze on his Neuter Title last night at The Darwin Royal. :cheer: :cheer: And a big thanks to you for helping me with my babies, you handled Winnie lovely and she got 2nd baby bitch   Thanks again

Thank you, and also big thanks to you for handling Coco when I needed a spare pair of hands, and you did well with her getting her Baby of Breed! :D

  8. And Portia's breeder hasn't replied to my email either, so can't even tell you what happened with her pup.

She didn't seem worried though, she seemed to think this girl would have big ears!

  9. I have no real preference in my own breed (paps) except that I'd prefer not to have a lemon coloured (technically a very light red).

In other breeds I like though I do have colour preferences, as they're likely to be the only dogs of the breed I'll own.

Blue merle for an Aussie, black and tan for a Shiba Inu, tri colour for a Basenji and the grey colour for a Swedish Vallhund (have seen the red/wheaten type colour and am not a fan).
