  1. I buy my flea treatments for my dogs with my vet $40 for a six pack of large dogs (advantage) and $1 a worm tablet for ten kilograms. I told him to match the price from the other places otherwise I would buy from them and he did a four pack of advantage large dogs is $26 cheap as chips. I have a wonderful vet.... he is just brilliant.

  2. I have transported with a dog trailer, with me of course, a pet transport company in the back of a van and he did a wonderful job would use him again. I have also flown dogs as for a dog trailer unless I was with the dog trailer unless I was with the dog I would not let anyone else transport for me. The man with the van I would use him again in a flash and flying yep I would send a dog off with Jetpets anyday.

  3. I vaccinate all my dogs with a C-3 and my puppies as well. Their vaccination regime is first one at 6 weeks. The second at 12 weeks and the third at 16 weeks. This is what my vet reccomends and I trust him and have been a client for well over ten years so he has looked after all my current dogs and puppies.

  4. So sorry for your loss of Ishka my thoughts are with you at this sad time. I know how you feel I lost one of mine thirteen days ago as well its devestating... my sincere sympathies.

    edited for spelling mistakes...

  5. Judging by your breeders response I think they knew full well that there was something wrong with the puppy, what breed are we talking about here is it the pug in your photo? I myself personally would be taking it up with the VCA and then possibly Victorian Civil Administrative Tribunal and see if you can get a response or a refund with their ruling? It will cost you around $40 to get the case heard but I think in this case its probably worth while. Let us know the outcome.

  6. I have used chicken wings, chicken feet, frames and necks for years all without incident, the mince that I buy is minced chicken bones etc and all of my dogs are fine. Never had trouble with it. Edited to add that I only buy my chicken for the dogs from a chicken processor that is fit for human consumption never from anywhere else. I tell people all the time that chooks do not have antibiotics in them but they dont listen. They hear it from overseas and automatically think we do the same. Does not happen people.

  7. Glad to hear all will be well. I had a puppy some years ago with intussusception (where the bowel telescopes back on itself) but his had tightened instead of loosening and he had to have 6 inches of bowel and 6 inches of intestine removed. Happily, the surgery was successful and he went on to live a good life, but it could have been fatal.

I to had a puppy do this on me, but unfortunately it was such a big thing and the puppy was in shock that he was put to sleep hew was just under eight weeks of age, happens in foals regularly apparently. Im glad your dog is going to be well great news.

  8. I will be contacting my vet in the morning in regards to her diet as she is still on chicken fillets which is fine as long as she gets better, at the moment she is eating better than me but I dont care I just want my puppy back thats all.

  9. I have had a nightmare of a time with my puppy this week she is nine weeks old and came down with gastro earlier in the week. She spent the night at the vets on the drip, antibiotics and electrolites. She has recovered now. Nearly back to normal self, however I have her on boiled chicken for the last two days.

Chicken fillets apart from costing a small fortune to feed her  which I dont mind I was wondering if there has been anyone else in the same situation, and what did you start them on after the chicken?

Without upsetting their delicate system. Some suggestions would be great!! Thanks.
