Exactly a week ago today I had to put down Abby due to a rare genetic skin disease that she had for which there is as of yet no cure. Abby was not only my pet, she was my best friend, my companion and my confidant and I miss her terribly. Id like to share a poem with everyone that i wrote about Abby.

Our life is a journey

A roller coaster ride

There are times when we are happy

And others where we hide

And in our lives e are often blessed

When we thought everything was wrong

And we’d never get out of a mess

This blessing for me

Came in the form of something small

With black and tan and white hair

My very own little fur ball

Since the first day I saw her

And held her in my arms

I could not but help

Succumb to her cute ways

Her Charm

My little girl has been with me since

Through thick and thin

Through all of this

And though she left me

Way before her time

Ill cherish what we did have

For the rest of eternity

And if I could see her

Just one last time

I'd hold her in my arms

Kiss her head

And whisper in her ear:

Forever in my heart you’ll always be.

My Angel, My Abby.

Thank you all for your kind words. It will be 3 weeks this friday since Abby's passing and I miss her terribly.
