Hi,

we have just relocated to Morayfield and wanting to know of any good vets in the area that people can recommend. We have had an absolutely horrible experience with another vet in Brisbane (those who know us will know the story) and we are hoping to avoid the same again with a bit of local knowlwdge :D

Morayfield/Caboolture etc. area :D

Hi,

Welcome to the area !!! We are situated in Deception Bay and our Vet is fantastic. He is situated on Deception Bay Rd. It is called Deception Bay Vetenary Clinic, the vet's name is Clayton Knight : ph:3888 3677.

Thanks very much for the responses :o Would prefer something closer than D. Bay but having said that its worth travelling if you find the right vet. Will check these ones out :)

If anyone knows of any other good ones please share them :(

Hey doorg, havent seen you around the traps, one of these days we will meet up

We moved from Maleny to Woodford Aug 2007.

Can highly recommend Guy Nation, Southern Cross Vets at Wamuran (and Woodford). From Morayfield, depending where you are. 10/15 minutes drive at the outside to Wamuran.

With numerous dogs, 2 alpaca, 2 horses, currently 8 head of cattle and 30 sheep we keep Guy in business

Seriously though he's a great person, and I trust him implicitly with my dogs (and the rest of the Zoo). Guy and his staff have gone out of their way to help us .

When I lived up that way I used the Caboolture Vet Clinic, they are just off Morayfield Rd, on a side road next to that little skate park and the train station, Oh opposite the Caboolture sports Club. The vet there was really nice, I took my litter up of puppies up for vaccs (had also taken the mum up beforehand when I thought she was overdue for whelping) and also a whippet that needed stitching. Really nice people and lovely vet. Dont know his name though, that was a few years ago now.

Let me guess..... you used to go to Graham at the Affordable Vet???

I know this is far away, but we use either our local vet Frank Feeney at the Banyo Veterinary surgery (vaccinations, creams, etc...) or for special things like operations we go to Paul Macginley at the Grange Vet. It may be a bit of a hike, lets say about 20 mins from you, but both of these guys are brilliant and I trust them both fully. I use Paul for operations because he does keyhole surgery which Frank does not.

Good luck finding a vet you are happy with.

Hi Doog,

Ian MacBride at Deagon Vet Clinic, Board St is excellent and is also opening a new clinic at North Lakes.

Stephen Lindores at Albany Creek also offers best practice and I have found him very good in times when Ian Mac is away.

Phil Thomas, the repo specialist at Brisbane Vetereinary Specialist Centre Chermside is also very good. He has his own general practice at Mitchellton which is perhaps abit of a hike for you.
