Dog Biscuit Recipe

I don't know much about common food allergens for dogs, or baking. I would like to bake some biscuits that have a long shelf-life, and that most dogs could eat quite happily. Shelf-life is the main priority. The flavour doesn't have to be too exciting, but palatable.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I was given a great book as a gift called "The Good Food Cookbook for Dogs" by Donna Twichell Roberts.I have cooked heaps of stuff for the dogs out of this book. The biscuits are really easy and store for 3 months in an airtight container.

How long are they baked for and at what temperature? I'm guessing they are fully dehydrated to be able to last without preservatives?

They bake for 30 to 35 mins at 170 deg then you turn off the oven and let them dry in the oven for 3 hours or overnight. It says will keep for 3 months but mine are usually eaten before that. They are fully dehydrated hard as rocks actually.
