Well, it's coming up 3 months since you left because of a tick, we tried everything little man, but it was too much for you. I still miss you every day as does issy, she is kinda lost without you, and has a howl every now and again if she sees a little white dog.

Rest in peace Harvey... You were the best dog ever xxx

Thanks... I was just thinking I can't believe it's been almost three months, and still, how sad I am about loosing him. He was coming up 10 but the damn tick was too toxic for him (issy had a tick the same week but pulled through) harves was at the specialist emergency vet but couldn't do any thing more...hope it gets easier :(

Wow, you HAVE been busy! Yes, I sure remember Spencer, one particularly naughty cat, as I recall. And Stuart Little.

And you have babies......wow, boys? girls? one of each?

I now have 4 Australian Shepherds (we lost Benson to kidney failure in July and it's taking me a very long time to stop crying. Damn, I don't think I will ever stop, actually). We have Bruno our Burmese but lost his sister Sophie last year when she got out one night and vanished off the face of the earth. And Kate our very large Maine Coon. I really, really miss Sophie, she was such a pretty and gentle little cat.

I'm so sad Harvey is gone, I thought of him every time I saw a Westie, he sounded like such a little character. I remember you posted a photo of him one day and he had the glossiest white coat I'd ever seen on a dog.

Oh gayle, sorry to hear of your losses too.. It's terrible isn't it..such a hard thing to get over... Don't think I will for a while.

I remember your Bruno, such a spunk of a burm... You take awesome pics too.! Poor little Sophie, how terrible though.

4 Aussies, that must keep you busy! Do you show?

Issy took the loss of harves really bad, she was taken (back) to the vet for doggy Valium (a strong RR) and also got run down from her tick, loosing Harvey so had antibiotics too... She is doing better though.

Oh...2 girls!

I am currently showing my young boy, I have retired my 4yo girl (she hated it and she didn't turn out to be show quality anyway) and I'm about to start showing my oldest girl (adopted earlier this year from WA) in the neuter classes.....I titled her in herding this year, and will continue with that next year, and hope to add another show dog to the clan next year.

We have moved out of town onto 3/4 acre so we have more space for all the pets.

Bruno is a spunk, he is also very naughty. Baddest cat ever, I think. And proud of it.

So glad we don't have ticks here, that's one less thing to worry about. Since Benson died, I am absolutely paranoid about something happening to one of the others. He had been hiding a serious illness for months, we think, as he was symptomatic one day and had to be pts the next. But very little indication up til then that there was anything wrong at all.

Oh I know what you mean about being paranoid abut the others. Every time isobel has a scratch I rush out and check her over. After Harvey I had three guys come in and rip the back garden out, I have tick collars, I have stripped her, spoken to her breeder about what he uses for ticks.. Paranoid much...but it is just such a terrible thing.

That is so very sad about benson.. Harder still that he seemed fine days earlier.

(hugs)
