I don't purport to know more than this Dr does, and steer clear of Ace because I have heard these reports from lay people, but in practical application Ace seems to work fairly well in a lot of cases. Do you know of any other sources supporting this position that don't reference the above posted source?

Overall is a very big name in small animal behavioural pharmacology so it would be hard to find a paper that didn't cite her work, but here are some references I've found that are available on the internet:
