Some great stories and pictures here, and even a story on one from ARF and Farmdogz. Too many to copy and paste each one, but some lovely photos. I have pasted the story on Rusty below, but the link will take you to all the stories.

Rusty is loving life – Thanks to the collaborative efforts of two animal rescue groups – ACT Rescue and Foster in Canberra and Farmdogz Rescue Inc – Melbourne.

Rusty found himself in a pound in Canberra. A failed worker? Perhaps. An unwanted pet? Perhaps. Noone will ever truly know his background. He was painfully thin and his coat as coarse as a steel wool pad. He was savagely attacked and injured by a fellow pound inmate. Veterinary treatment was sought for Rusty and the long search for someone to take him on and spare him the fate of all unwanted pound dogs began.

Countless hours of work goes into finding foster carers and adoptive homes for dogs like Rusty. The team at Farmdogz Rescue in Melbourne soon sourced an available carer, while ACT Rescue arranged a carer to collect Rusty from the pound and hold him in care until he could be vetworked and loaded on transport to Melbourne.

Now in foster care, Rusty has discovered his new job. Best friend and companion to Matilda, Rusty never leaves her side. His wounds have healed and the scars are fading.

Rusty's coat is improving and by the look of his cheeky grin, he is glad he is a pound survivor.
