Most brands of dry food, especially premium brands contain HBA, HBT and ETHOXIQUIN, the brands of pet food that contain those poisonous preservatives are Hill's Science, Eukanuba, Iams With all due respect my husband just pointed out that these foods USED to contain these preservatives ... As pointed out in another thread in this forum, it is the build up of some things that can cause the problems... As was the preservatives in HSD for my Boxer boy. He was fine until he was around 6 months, then he broke out in hives for no reason. The vets agree with me also, that his body, just couldn't handle preservatives anymore after a build up....
