Play safe with your other sheltie friends at rainbow bridge, Sonny. Chin up Michelle, we will find Tasha. Hopefully soon.

Run free, Bella, you will have no pain now. I am sure Bella was very thankful that she found such a loving home with your mum and enjoyed her time there. I know you both had a very hard decision to make. Please give your mum a hug from me when you see her.

Thank you everyone, It is so nice to be able to come to a place & share your sorrow. Nelson will always be remembered with a smile. He was a lively cheeky man. He is the pup in my avatar with the big smile on his face

I had a distressing phone call last night. A young dog, Nelson, that I placed with a lovely older gentleman was attacked yesterday, while taking their morning walk by a pitbull. He was sedated all day at the vets whilst they tried to stabilise him & see to his injuries. Unfortunately his injuries were just too severe & they had to make the decision to send him to rainbow bridge. goodbye my sweet Nelson. He was such a happy, cheeky soul. Cordy & Shaun will remember Nelson from the pet expo. He was the one who was playing with Shaun on the table. Run free Nelson. Feel the wind thru your hair & know that you will always be remembered

So sorry to read about your loss of Amy. She looks like she was a wonderful girl & had a great life with you. Take some comfort that she will always live on thru her daughter & granddaughter & all those to come. I am sure she will watch over all of you.

So glad to hear that your baby is home & seems to be doing well. thank goodness you noticed his signs in the beginning & got him off to the vets in time. One lucky little boy to have such a loving mum. Hope he continues to improve with each day.

Yes it is pet milk that you can buy from the supermarket so it is lactose free. She should start to eat a bit more now that the pups are two weeks old? I know my shelties for the first week aren't all that interested in food but as the babies get bigger so does their appetite. She may be feeling a little bit upset in her tummy cleaning seven babies gggg Even if you try giving her smaller meals but more often. She may not feel like a big bowl full of food. I also just use mince from the supermarket & divide it up into small plastic bags & freeze them. Then just make sure I get one out when I use one so that there is always a fresh lot in the fridge for her next meal. Try not to baby her too much - it is amazing how they can play on being pampered & have you do nearly everything for them. I normally have to finger feed mine for a few days but then I say OK feed yourself now.

I also add some cottage cheese or grated cheese. I have also found giving them a splash of petmilk over their meals helps too. I also change the bitches over to puppy kibble as it has more protein etc & feed them 3-4 times a day. Make sure she also has access to plenty of fresh water too to help make milk. Good luck with your babies.
