  1. Have you rung the breeder to discuss this with her...she will know her pugs best of all.

Mine sleep in their puppy pen and only know their crates for the car...so you would have to start crate training as soon as you got one of mine home. If you wanted a dog to conform to what a normal dog does then you shouldnt have got a PUG...they are unconventional in everything you will try and teach her. Pugs might look silly but they wont try and jump off a, what did you say? really high off the ground bed...they will wake up and the same routine of taking them out to the loo will happen.

  2. A Pug fits your description except for the shedding of coat...which isnt all year so not all the time. :D Great with kids...all bark with cats and chooks and other livestock, the livestock seem to know this and therefore ignore them. Great little watch dogs and to a stranger or friend they are pretty scary when they are in protection mode...just dont let the visitor pat them lol. Mine let me know all the time when there is someone there...the Anatolian shepherd beats them to it though as he hears the car...but a protecting pug is a pretty good deterant for strangers. They are a super good with kids and when puppies even though will jump arent heavy enough to knock a small child of 3-4 over. If you can get over the hair they make a perfect pet.

  3. If you google Silver Fawn Pug and click images there is not one Silver fawn pic on those pages....apart from the little silver statue ones. Silver is a shade of Fawn as is Apricot...but in our Pugs of today the Silver has been lost...you would not be able to find a current breeder that can say they have bred or seen a true Silver fawn.

Shazza, everything that I come up with in the way of pics for the "silvers" is just dirty, smutty fawns. Is that what you are seeing too ?

Yes, as in the first pic Steve has posted above but the origin of that pic is from the USA which is what they call Silver.

  5. Is this ridiculous or what? Is this acceptable to be getting our gazettes half way through the month?

It's not half way through the month, not to mention there has been a couple of days of public holidays not to mention Christmas as well.

You obviously have some form of internet access, you can always view it online until it arrives.

I would not be happy either, but seriously there are other things to worry about in life.

Excuse me...tommorrow is the middle of the month albiet a sunday...and I still dont have it.

Of course there are more to worry about in life but at this moment I dont know how to solve the worlds poverty so am concentrating on my own stuff...is that ok Sway. :mad

  6. I still dont have my Jan gazette...I rang Vicdogs today and was informed that it had only just left the mailing centre...I know vic people got theirs from last friday. Anyone NOT got their gazette yet? I only live an hr from melb, anyone would think I livede in the middle of no where. :mad

  7. Well Sharon did you meet "Hairy Mclary" from Buckley dairy? Are you still laughing hysterically?

Rhonda and Lyn were having a good laugh about it today at my house. But hey where do you think his fether got his name from...."Fuzzy Bear" was not just whimsy.

Who won what with the pugs?

I got distracted today and will have to meet Hairy Mclary from Buckley dairy tommorrow...we will have to wait for Ange to put results up...wonder who the baby is that got baby in group.

  8. Haidee had 2 boys by c-section on Thursday. Babies have dropped weight but are going well so far. Haidee had to be spayed as the horn with the dead pup was like soup and the risk of infection was too great. In fact the vet thought if she had tried to push puppies out she may have ruptured her uterus. we had to go back to th vet today as her temp went to 39.5 We mainly think due to pain so she was given more pain relief and more AB's and her temp came down. She has eaten a little and is interested in cleaning pups ect. Fingers crossed she is on the improve.

Good news that mum and bubs are good, now...sending puggy vibes for her full recovery. ♥♥

  9. Yes, me too! Now just awaiting Sunday numbers.

Are these this weekend? Will you have your little exchange student with you Ange? I might bring my migrants with me for a bit of socialising. :)

Yes this weekend (this is the pair I was amazed you had missed.) Yes I will have the exchange student plus the new junior boarding student from our own fair state with me. She is entered but he will be there just for socialising so I'll be especially happy if you bring along a few more young 'uns to add to the atmosphere. It is bound to be a positive first experience for him if he has a few victims to pounce on friends to play with LOL!!! :D

(Camera is compulsory - Jane is hanging out for pics)

Excellent...well as you know lost/didnt receive my Dec gazette...and thinking about it I am yet ot receive my January gazette...do you have yours yet?
