This morning I became the proud owner of a Nikon D50 I would like to learn to shoot in manual, so I can harness everything this great camera has to offer. Here's the first two photos I've taken, of course based around the spunky Ollie boy I'm happy with them both, how couldnt I be? Best shots I've ever taken. ;) But I do realise that Ollie's white fur is over exposed so I'm hoping some white dog/photography experts might have some solutions? Thanks

Hi, I'm after some opinions on buyng a second hand DSLR. I've asked around on photography forums but theyre not too generous with help for newbies. I'd like to know where the best places to look would be and what reasonable prices would be, if possible. I've been looking at Canon models up to the 30D but have been warned not to go as far back as the 300D. Oh and I'm open to Nikon suggestions too! I'm also quite apprehensive about ebay so some opinins there would be much appreciated. Thanks
