  1. You do realise that fresh chicken generally only has a shelf life of 4 to 5 days? And this only when they come instore - depending on delivery days and the rest, you may only get a day or two out of them. Basically you should either go shopping every day or two - or start freezing!!! Once breast bones start to do smelly, they will generally go moudly within a few hours.
  2. I had the same problem, I tried everything known to man to try get rid of the fleas until someone said to try advantage. Worked like a charm!
  3. Don't know any solons in your area sorry. "Most mobile franchises only wash and do no grooming or clipping." The mobile franchises I went to, on the phone I said "I want the nails and ears done" they told me sure thing. She cut one nail and didn't touch the ears. And that was on a BC! That she also claimed to own five BC's. "Most Groomers do LISTEN. I try very hard to do what the customer wants, within reason." I've been to three different groomers and everyone has listened except one, - one dog was cut a little shorter then I excepted I asked what was the go and he replyed - he was a little matted so we had to cut it out - I knew he was matted but this was before I realised how much pain it causes to brush them out and he explained all this too me so all was fine!
  4. South West of where? Anyways - I use a friend of the family to groom my two, as she is also a professional and I trust her to do the job I want. I hate mobile frannies - had bad experience because the main thing I want them to do is the nails and ears because I have been informed if you do them wrong - you do damage and I am not that confident in grooming dogs just yet. My advice look around and ask people you know who they use - I didn't even know my groomer friend was a groomer until I asked who she took her dogs too - I never thought to ask "Hey, what do you do for a living?". And yes they should have told you the first time if your dog moves!!!
  5. Ermm. I really don't think that will solve the problem since the pup is barking for attention. Banging on the window or door will certainly give him that. Banging does give the dog attention, but not the desired attention. The dog is seeking love and assurance! They don't get this with the bang, all you do is bang and go back to what your doing. I've done this with 3 dogs now (1 border collie and 2 toy poodles) and it has worked wonders for me, not even a scratch at the bathroom door any more!
  6. Sorry placed this in the wrong Topic
  7. Try banging on the door or a window (make a loud sound) at the moment the dog/pup barks.
  8. I don't know if you have corrected your problem. But with my border collie (now rehomed), I had a water spray bottle and srayed it in his face. He stopped after about 3 or 4 times.
