How is Jasper?
My girl was diagnosed with Lymphoma today. But her kidneys are too far gone, she has been given only a couple days left, with no hope for treatment. I am beside myself, an absolute mess. I hope Jasper goes ok. I really do.
xoxo
I'm so sorry

Our dogs are loyal. They love us unconditionally. They make our hearts fuzzy when we get home from work. Their tail wag means more to us than they will ever know. Our dogs talk to us in so many ways and a paw at us, a nudge or a soft bark always makes us smile. They are our loved fur kids. We will do anything for them, as they will for us. When they look up at us from their belly up stretches they are always smiling. They listen to us with open ears and tilted heads. They lick us right on the mouth and instead of spitting and wiping, we class this as a smooch from someone we love. They have our hearts ... they always will.
Oh husky - such beautiful beautiful words.........
I have an oldie, with health issues and this has really touched me

Hi to you and Gemma
hope you're doing ok
-
sorry to hear about Sweep - hope he feels better soon

My foxy has pancreatitis and I make all her food - boiled chicken breast, boiled mince that is then
squeezed on kitchen paper, veggies, tiny amount of rice, tuna in water that sort of thing.
As little fat as possible. I have kibbles as a standby and for treats (some low residue formula from
the vet - forget the name of it)
She would eat anything though.
Pancreatitis is horrible, Callie was in the vets for days - I wouldnt risk feeding pedigree little champions unless
I had asked the vet first??
-
oh no
RIP little man - you didnt deserve that ;)

It's a very sad situation. There's no easy solution. Only you'll know when the
time has come. Your girl will let you know in her own way.
This is the part of pet ownership that is so hard.
I lost my 11.5 yr old Rotty in 2007. I had to make the decision to let her go.
Worst day of my life to date was leaving her with a friend and driving off.
sorry to hear about your Rotty. I'm sure she knew you loved her and in the end - thats what counts

rosie..just by posting you are helping to boost my spirits a bit.
She still seems happy most of the time, as long as I stick to her routine. She tried to play with me a bit tonight, lol, that made me laugh. The spirit is still there, its just the body that cant keep up.
aaaww, I'm glad you are still having good times with her.
I laughed when I read 'she is ok if I stick to her routine'
I sometimes think Callie has obsessive compulsive disorder, if I dont stick to THE routine I have a little white long-nosed
dog glaring at me!!
The spirit is what Gemma is - and it sounds like hers is special.
Hang in there and hold these precious moments

I'm so sorry.
I wish I was good with words and could say something to help but there are no words.
It's hearbreaking
Has Gemma seen the vet recently?
Is she still happy?
thinking of you at this sad time and wishing you strength to get through it

Hello to all forum users.
My Ridgeback (Bear) has been diagnosed with a stage one tumour that has been removed and he also had his spleen removed one week later as an ultra-sound & x-rays showed a lump that thankfully was not cancerous.
I need to sight the reports to be able to give more info on the terminology of the tumour ( [i think. Sarcoma]-connective tissue tumour) . it was located on his chest.
I am very annoyed with the vet we were seeing as we had it looked at when very small and they said " do not worry, fatty lump" months later it grew then we had it removed and got the bad news.
We have started him on chemo and i am worried the 50mg dose of Cyclophosphamide each 3 days, he has been put on will do more harm than good.
I am considering going to another vet who recommends a smaller dose every day that will cost more and also not using it at all.
I am asking for anybody out there that has had experience using this drug to treat their pet and to share their experiences of what had resulted from its use
and also what you may have done other than these traditional treatments.
thanks in advance to all
Hi bertybear
I cant give any advice or experience on this I just wanted to send good wishes to Bear
