  1. Good on you Sway! I'd planned on doing it this year with my boy Flinne, but nature decided against that one Now my new boy is too young and my old girl turned 8 in September so is just too old to compete. TN - I'll be joining you next year!
  2. Thanks TN The landscape is lastnights sunset - Seeing the clouds and the cool change coming was just wonderful to see (I just had to capture the signs of the heat relief!)
  3. Everyones photos are fantastic as usual! Hopefully one day i'll have time to comment on them all Glass/es Landscape Eyes Dance
  4. Thanks Bindi I set my camera (Canon 20D) to the manual mode TV (Shutter Priority), bumped my ISO down to 100 and set my shutter speed to 15" (15 seconds). You need a tripod but I cheated and used the park bench for the boat and I found a meter box to put my camera on for the street shot. If you need more of an explination on how to change the values let me know Now i've figured out how to do long exposure shots i'm going to go out to the freeway overpass next and then into town to get some nice bridge shots - should be fun!
  5. *Squee!* How cute is that piggie!!?? We went to Toronto for fish and chips tonight - took the camera "just in case" Here are my Night Lights shots, they were so much fun to shoot that I may very well do more 'night lights' for the Feb project Cars passing in the street along the shoreline cafes' Lake Macquarie Cruisers coming to dock after a dinner cruise.... Edit: Bah humbug! My images are too big *sigh* My parents don't have an editing programme on this computer so they will have to make do. Thus images are as seen, straight off the camera with a little cropping in the first pic.

It started up around 3pm, I took that photo at 4:30 on the way home from shopping, you may have headed home before it started and not be blind after all Again, great shots from everyone I especially like the Kingfisher and swan. The colours in TN's bubbles and the red frangipani are just lovely Here is my pic for today. I was photographing some antique woodworking machinery for advertising and decided that I quite like this one, so am using it for my photo for today
  8. You mean this one near Kurri? I was going to use this one (taken on very ordinany Kodak from a moving car) as my photo for today but hated it so much then I went and took boring photos of the dogs Lucky you getting pretty sky colors, we have been sitting in the middle of a thick smoke haze all afternoon

Ash - I love your 'landscape' shot, very effective! Kirislin - As always your photos are just magical. The beads of water on the spiders web is just mesmerising, I love it I went out to Wollombi Markets today, couldn't find anything worth shooting till our trip home. We stumbled across this beautiful olive and cheese shop and art gallery. Let me just say I had so many issues picking todays photo that I narrowed it down to three A sheep made of acorn leaves and glass acorns - just divine! A close up of his adornments
