  1. You guys are going to be fine Huski - just make sure you remember to breath!! Good luck for the UD debut as well Kathq!
  2. ;) ;) :p for Ptolomy, VERY VERY happy for you and will make sure to have a cider or 2 on your behalf to celebrate!!!!!
  3. Great news about entering your first trials Huski - have no doubt you'll both do great and have to remember to go back and watch your video a bit later on too! I started counting things behind River during stays - might have been trees, cars, people whatever was behind him as it stopped me staring him down and gave me something to do rather than worrying whether he was going to drop in the sit or not!
  4. Thanks Amypie and went better than the hot chip with gravy for that effort - he got most of a cheeseburger from Maccas
  5. Thanks everyone for the congratulations on Riv's CDX title - am still smiling 3 days later even though I didn't manage to get it on video!! Better pull my finger out now and start training his directed jumping I guess Congratulations to Tassie as well for both Kirra and Rory and to magicmine and best of luck for those last 2 OC passes
  6. Can so relate to that RS - I once told River to "drown"
  7. I did a DB retrieve for Riv's last novice trial but did COP for the rest. Was the only time he's managed full marks on a DB retrieve to date though
  8. Oops I knew I was going to forget someone Big congratulations RS and Ruby I'm sure you guys are going to be in open in no time
  9. Congratulations DSO and Jess is great news Well done Tassie and ValleyCBR on the tracking and showing too. Yay to Scoota managing his sit stay for a second day running and congrats for Beans as well and Ptolomy of course
  10. Congratulations again Agility Dogs and must be great for you having things all falling into place now too Woohoo TerraNik and Jedi what a fantastic result - so when's the next trial Nice work Nicole too being able to string two good days of trialling in a row together
  11. Congratulations TSD & Ziggy and Ptolomy & Scoota
  12. Congratulations Agility Dogs, you have been having a great run lately! Well done for getting through to stays anyway DSO and fingers crossed for your CD title tomorrow Definitely sounds like something worth bragging about Bully nice work :p
  13. So you're going ahead with the trials on the weekend now Zug Zug? If so I'm sure you'll both do well and good luck to everyone else who has entered too
  14. The boys both get a day a week off from training and we're meant to go to club once a week for agility (I think it's been about a month since we last went though!) and otherwise spend our time doing obedience training at different parks and they then go for a run and will sometimes do some extra training at home later on. If Riv has trialled I usually give him an extra day off which he doesn't like but makes him super keen the next time we train.
  15. I found River struggled most with the more "boring" stays - things like if I went and sat on the ground or had him do them somewhere where nothing was happening that he could watch were the ones he'd switch off during and would lay down during the sits so I'm trying to get a good balance between distractions and nothing with Zuma's stay training at the moment. Riv hardly ever does any group stay practice now but did used to do them at club pretty regularly before he started trialling. Zuma has done really short ones with some of Ptolomy's kids and Riv but apart from that is yet to do a real group stay and once I've got them solid on our own I think with him it's better for me that I have him do a few formal group stays before I think about entering him.
  16. Do you mean games in terms of something that makes stays a little more interesting to teach rather than distraction-type stuff?
  17. Congratulations Smisch, Denver and Jock and to Soaks and TerraNik too
  18. Tiggy, I generally only struggle to do any agility work outside of the one session a week we do at club - kind of shows too I think
  19. I'm not actually trialling in UD yet so probably not the ideal person to answer this for you but River has been taught using different commands for seekback (find), scent (search), DB (fetch) and gloves (go).
  20. Like Daisy, Zuma loves pretty much everything (fresh sardines being the only thing I've had him not eat!!) although both he and Riv seem to like chicken best - especially if it's from KFC Is always the way kathq isn't it! Have you figured out how to fix what is going wrong? And looking forward to seeing some more videos from people too.
  21. Woohoo big congratulations Caffy & Alex
  22. Big thank you to Steve for coming to Adelaide and to Ness for organising too definitely lots to learn Really enjoyed watching people working with their dogs, there was lots of good work even with all the distractions
  23. Congratulations Agility Dogs sounds like a great day and well done Ptolomy hope those other 93 points come quickly for you
