  1. something for free .. wouldn't that be nice. No, it's an extra. Can't remember how much it was. But I do know that although it's another expense, it is important to get it done BEFORE putting your dog on heartworm if he 1. Has never been tested before or 2. if he has been off heartworm meds for several months or years. Someone here with more info may be able to explain why but I know that only heartworm free dogs can take heartworm meds otherwise, it will kill the dog.
  2. Hi, You say=== don't really want to feed her on only dry food. Do you have a reason for this? Good quality dry food, with a few chicken necks for her teeth, should be an excellent diet for a Chi.If you select a complete diet it will have everything in it the dog should need. Cheers That's debatable. Most of the dry foods that people call "quality" are imported from the US and although they all have their own packaging, the products are sourced from the same supplier. What is in the food is not written on the packet. Yes, even your top brands contain certtain things that I would never want my pet to consume. Fact: goodies found in dry foods - road kill (possums, other dogs and bits of cats, horse by products, etc.) Some actually go as far as using sawdust as a filler. or binder. for your little chi, feed her fresh REAL meat. It's not like you need a kilo/day, is it. If I can locate this article, I will add a link.
  3. Interesting. I'd never heard that before. My poodle baby gives himself more excercise when he runs around like the devil is chasing him. LOL When we go for walks, it's just that, a walk. No running. Was this rumour started by one of those doggy carry bag designers. hand bag style a ralph lauren carry bag perhaps or should we invest in this, like, oooh, let's be like a real mummy. IMO. Load of crap. Give them a couple of years and they'll chane their tune, saying owners are been cruel by not allowing little pupy bones to develope.
  4. My poodle pup was put on that puppy milk by the bredder. IMO, it's not really good but he just would not drink plain water. Then, he must have seen one of my cats drink from their water fountain (Catit electric fountain with a dome) and that's where he drinks from now. In the meantime, I have slowly added water to the puppy milk and I am down to one small bowl at breakfast.
