  1. Not much room at all. He does zoomies on a dime ;)
  2. Photobombed by Barkly... Being silly.
  3. For what it's worth - if you've got Photoshop and you set JPGs to open in Camera Raw (which I'd suggest), the vignette it slider driven.
  4. Nice start! You can do some really nice stuff with that lens and flash. I've got them too. I do a lot of ceiling bounce flash stuff. Have fun!
  5. PS - when shooting in HS - I will start tracking the dog as it approaches the position I want the dog to be in. When it's nearly there, I start shooting. I might shoot 4 or more frames to get 1 keeper.
  6. I usually shoot agility in high-speed multishot mode, AI servo, center focus point, AV mode, F2.8 and with an ISO that get's me at least 1/800 of a second (usually ISO 100). Lots of my agility shots are here: http://www.lukewilby.com/gallery/?g2_itemId=16624 Picking your spot to shot from is half the battle. Here's a couple of random samples.
  7. I think the 420ez doesn't check exposure through the lens. It might make bounce flash tricky.
  8. My pleasure The dog was sitting on a grooming table, which was covered with a light grey piece of fleece. The background was a white wall. Lighting was provided mostly by on-camera flash, bounced of the ceiling. There was a little bit of tidying up in photoshop.
  9. Outside? Sunny day? Easiest would probably be ISO 100, F/2.8, AV mode. For stacked shots, One Shot Focus and single frame shooting. For the action shots, AI Servo, and High Speed Continuous. Are you confident with focusing? If you aren't it may pay to shoot at f/4 or even f/5.6 (and boost ISO to 200).
  10. probably the last (for a while) of the high-key, white background shots.
  11. He's been having tongue lessons from Barkly.
  12. For Emma (Panzer Attack!) After much waiting, Scooter has arrived. Picked him up from the airport at around 1am. He's very cute.
  13. I'm lucky. Other dogs are way down on Barkly's priority list. He's always had access to other dogs off lead (at parks, reserves etc) - he's just got better things to do.
