  1. Leo was a stunning boy, Greytmate. I am so very sorry for your loss. RIP Leo!
  2. She looks like a lovely girl. I am sorry for your loss.
  3. I am so sorry for your loss.
  4. And one tiny little girl that would be very easy to smuggle into the hospital to visit her mum when she is well enough!
  5. Good on you for getting people to take notice of this Erny. I posted about it in "In the News' on May 7, and hardly anybody seemed worried about it. In fact Jed was one of the only ones who seemed to think there was a problem with these laws.
  6. Great news goldchow! Will any of the boxer puppies be staying for Jed so that she has something to remember their mum by? Was she planning to keep one of them?
  7. I am so sorry for your loss! RIP Bobby!
  8. It's great to hear that another cat has survived. Who is looking after it? Is Jane's other cat still with the RSPCA or is someone else looking after it now? Great to hear all the other fur kids are doing well. Toohey, thanks for the update. I hope you are hanging in there all right.
  9. No point in me keeping all of the bawling to myself Mita. Smart lady! It worked. Half my crying is knowing how happy ChiChi's pic will make her mum. She saved the little mite at the cost of serious injuries. And here's Chi Chi tucked up safe & warm & comfy in a home away from home. 'Scuse me. Fogging up again. yep I hear you.Seems Ive been quite successful in spreading the bawling around but last night when I heard Magnus was gone for a little while I thought perhaps I was too bawling and that I might never stop. I know what you mean Julie. When I had to write the update to the media release saying that Magnus' body had been found I think it was the hardest thing I have ever written. I am supposed to be working on an assignment for uni today and I just can't seem to get my head around it.
  10. mumsy, thank you so much for finding this! I loved it when Jane wrote it. I loved reading it even more now, but it made me so sad to think of all those special dogs she was thinking about when she wrote it who will no longer be there for her. goldchow, thank you for the update and for everything you have done/are doing for Jane and her precious dogs.
  11. Oh thank you Julie! I so needed to see these photos! These beautiful souls have suffered too! They must have been terrified in the fire and they would be fretting for Jane, not knowing what has happened to her. They are away from their home and they have lost their furry brothers and sisters. The sadness of all those poor beautiful dogs dying is more than any of us can bear, but let's all try in honouring them to give thanks that Jane is alive and that she has all these hopeful and loving faces to return to when she wakes. These wonderful creatures will give her so much love and solace, and whilst there will be no words spoken everything that needs to be said will be. These gorgeous fur kids are going to be Jane's firm foundation when she recovers physically and tries to move on with her life.
  12. Oh no!! Now I am in tears again! ;) RIP TBCSITW and beautiful girl Meg! I know how much your mum loved you both! Watch over her from the rainbow bridge! I have only just this minute finished sending the media release out everywhere, which included a paragraph asking people to be on the lookout for Magnus!
  13. tianakaesha, you're not being pedantic, I was going to say the same thing. There is nothing to say she is awake, just her condition is stable. It's great news, but let's not get ahead of ourselves and spread misinformation.
  14. Thanks Fran! Jane is very special to me, I am happy to be able to help! Great news on Jane's condition! Now we just need to find Magnus! Julie, check your email!
  15. Thanks for the offer Cody, I am writing a media release and liaising with Julie about dealing with media enquiries.
  16. Oh, how heartbreaking it must have been collecting the dogs who died! What special people Margaret and Lesley are! Thank you for the updates Julie and Toohey! ETA, Toohey's not real good SB!
  17. I can't believe this!! I only found out from the FB posts! At first I just thought that Magnus was missing, now I find Jed is critically ill and all those precious dogs are gone! My heart is breaking! Thank you to all those people who live close and are able to help. Jed is very special and the ones of us who know and love her are very thankful for all of you who are helping. Hang in there Jed! Your surviving dogs need you!
  18. No, it doesn't!! If we could trust councils to do the right thing that might be what it means, but have you actually read it? :D Under the laws, council officers will be given sweeping powers to seize and destroy unregistered dogs found unsupervised in public areas, if they are believed to pose a risk. "These tough new laws will give council officers the authority to seize and destroy unregistered or unidentifiable dogs found unsupervised in a public place if they reasonably believe the dog is a danger to public safety," he said in a statement. "The proposed legislation will also empower an authorised officer to immediately destroy any dog that they believe will cause imminent serious injury or death to a person or another animal." I can see a lot of redneck council officers thinking some completely innocent family pets are a danger to public safety because they look the wrong way!! It doesn't say they have to have been declared dangerous or be restricted breeds!! The council officer just has to believe they pose a danger! The last part says ANY DOG!!!
  19. I think it's great to encourage registration of dogs, but this is giving councils power that is really scary! What if the dog has been registered but their microchip doesn't scan or they have lost their collar? New laws double penalties for failing to register dogs
  20. Oh I am so sorry for your loss. Miko looks like he was a beautiful boy. RIP Miko!
  21. What an absolutely amazing tribute to an amazing dog! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. It made me cry, but I am so glad to have read about your beautiful boy. RIP Bastian! Be a good boy and wait for your mum, she loves you so much! :p
  22. Midniara, I am so very sorry for your loss. My heart is breaking for you at this tragic loss of your beautiful buddy boy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. ;) RIP Buddy, you brought your family so much love and joy. Now there will be no more pain for you. Rest easy as you wait for all your special people.
  23. Thanks Helen. She seems to have moved, she is now in Cooranbong! I just spoke to my friend and apparently Michelle's Pooch Pampering in Springwood has closed and moved, so they aren't able to get hold of her.
  24. Thanks Nicquistar! I will see if I can find the boarding kennels. I know the one in Stafford St, Penrith. I haven't been there because we groom our girl ourselves, but we go to South Penrith Vet in Stafford St. Janba, thanks I found the number. I will pass it on.
  25. I realise lots of DOLers groom their own dogs, but isn't there anyone on here who lives in the Blue Mountains and takes their dog to a groomer?
