  1. I sent samples to ASAP to test for PLL in Tenterfield Terriers, waited over 4 months for the results. They were swabbed at 3 weeks of age and I wanted results before they were 8 weeks.. I wouldn't bother using them again, it would be quicker to send samples to UK!
  2. I spoke with someone last week who used one. The dog regularly got horrible infected sores on his neck from the collar (he is a large heavily coated dog) then when he went hear the boundary he got electric shocks which is how the 'fence' works. The dog ended up getting quite nasty and aggressive... so would I if I was getting electric shocks in my infected pussy neck! I think the good old fashioned way of building a fenced yard is much better.
  3. My Tenterfield litter arrived early, on 30th January. I have 2 girls and 1 boy, oh so cute ;) Chicky sounded like a tennis player with all the grunting and squealing, poor love. Now she has taken to motherhood lke a pro
  4. I went to Bunnings this morning and got 2 of their 'compost cages' and now have a lovely puppy area all set up for my Tenty girl who is due next week. Only cost me $50 Thanks SWAY you come up with some great cost saving ideas ! Now to find that car boot liner......
  5. I sent an adult bitch to Italy, she had to be done 30 days before leaving Australia.
  6. I went to Melbourne specially, but the KMart I went to didn't have any But I spent heaps buying new clothes for me ;) I'll keep an eye out next time I'm in Melbourne though, sounds like it would be ideal.
  7. The usual mating day for most of my girls (large breed) is day 17 - 19. Recently had one mated on day 21. Trust your dogs, they know more than we do Good luck ;)
  8. Just paid $955 for elective during business hours. Ultrasound at 28 days, $45 for one vet, $75 for the one closer to home.
  9. Think I might head to KMart tomorrow and have a look it sounds good
  10. That would be funny to see, person seen in car section sniffing the car mat But I get what you mean
  11. Good luck with your breeding, will be interesting to see how you end up. New technology is amazing! I have friends in USA who often do dual sire matings, they run working sled dog teams and thus only have to take their bitches out of the team less often. Please keep us posted ;)
  12. I have my first litter of Tenterfield Terriers due 2nd Feb. Been breeding Malamutes for 25 years so this will be a big change for me! Can't wait.... Oh how much easier this is gonna be ;)
  13. If you find they are swallowing the chicken necks whole, I would try carcasses. That way they have to chew them. Maybe half a chicken carcass. Cheers
