  1. Yes, well we have Dobes and both myself and my vet are not happy to microchip until 6 weeks of age - at the earliest. To do it any earlier is something I will never do, those needles are huge. Luckily our vet is happy to do both - the chips are paid for prior to insertion and put aside for those few weeks. Its not like you are buying 10 litters worth. Pity your vet wont help you comply with the law - find a new vet.

Yeah I think I will, I'm not very happy with their attitude, I mean if other vets are happy enough to do it that way, I don't really know what there problem is. It's handy that this vet is only a 5 minute drive from us, & good incase of an emergency, but I'm disappointed in their attitude.

You can buy the chips yourself directly from the distributor and take them with you to the vet or to who ever implants them.

Can't do that In Victoria :mad The only way is to get someone from interstate to buy them for you.

  2. For all the ppl's who were at B/dales dog shows over the weekend, I would like to know who was the photographer there. I did catch out of my eye he took a few pics of our whippets on the table. Also would like to know if anybody got pics of our mirrored whippets in the brace either Sat or Sun.:D

There was a photographer from the Bairnsdale Advertiser there taking pics, you'll need to buy the Bairnsdale papers to see what pics went in  Also BBJ was taking pics, she may have some of your guys. Thanks so much for the lend of the coat on Friday, would have got drowned without it :D

  3. I hope it hasn't been too cold down there.

Can some one please tell me which Schipp got RUBIG on Friday? Thank you.

It was Chapman's Am Gr Ch/EE Ch Nanhall's The Following Sea (Imp Fin) who I think also gained his Australian Champion title on the same day.

And he did it again yesterday, he was awarded Best of Breed and RUNNER UP TO BEST EXHIBIT IN GROUP on Sunday under Mr D Windsor from Canada, who has Schipperke. Was a wonderful weekend with excellent results for this little black dog. He is now an AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION as well as American GR CH, Est CH! what a dog! I have to say, I had the greatest pleasure in handling him for his owner, who had another younger dog in the BIG line up!!! OH what a thrill!

Oh WOW, awesome news  Go Seazer

Thanks BB, it was a lovely day with great company

We are thrilled to announce that our girl Maisie gained the final points for her title today and will now officially be known as Ch Beadale Gold Nuget. Maisie joined us a little under 12 months ago having been bred in SA, had a home in Qld for 15 months, a home in Tassie for 10 months and has a forever home with us. Love this little girl sooooo much :D

  8. That's horrible Bisart, I would be fuming!

I was at the same show and thought they did great, but I didn't win anything so didn't have too stick around. Our judge called out for applause for the neuters as there was quite a large line up which I thought was nice.

Would have thought they would like having the extra entries that the neuter class gave to the club, as I wouldn't have entered if not for the neuter class due to having coated breeds looking pretty naked at the moment!

Glad your group had a good total of neuters, there was only one in group 7. The neuter class needs not only exhibitors to get on board but also clubs to recognise the neuters and reward accordingly. Many years ago at the Caulfield Expo show our boy got NIG and the judge felt so bad at there not being a sash that she gave us a first place ribbon to make us feel better
