PC - hard work indeed
JS - another great shot... to hot for me to go out and about with the camera!
beckandcharch - 2nd shot of the 2 of them is great

Another day of fantastic shots.... love your boots shot JS, the mutant from Ravyk and the shots of cooper with his glasses on
My shot today (even though I went to the beach for most of the day) is of the couple who were celebrating their Engagement tonight. Probably not my best shot of the day, but one that when I look back on the year, I'll remember the day.
I work with the guy and hope to have the pleasure of shooting their wedding next year
Congratulations Ben & Amanda

My Project 365 photo today was taken on my 50mm 1.8
-
Happy Birthday Bronny!
Your first photo of him is superb :D
-
I really like that one!!
Thanks
It's because of people like you (and a few others on this forum) that I decided to get the 50mm 1.8..... so glad I did now (tried the same shot with the 18-50 f2.8 and it wasn't as sharp and the DOF wasn't as soft!)
So thank you for inspiring me (and many others here!)

Another round of fantastic shots today.
Nik - another great portrait - running out of ideas yet?
FP - nice bookshelf of books.... Kel will be in touch soon to borrow some
With all the other shots of flowers on the forum, thought I'd do something similar... that and the fact I took my camera into work for some building shots and then realized I left the battery at home in the charger!

Was chatting at work today with a few guys and we decided on a MACRO shot of a Laptop RAM module I had at home.
I rarely do MACRO photographs, and being the IT nerds that we are, it seemed only logical to get one of the circuit board.
So here it is

My very first sunflower.......EVER!!!!! Just a bud now but I am looking forward to when it opens
Fantastic detail The more I use my 50mm the more I love it!

So, do you schedule time? Is processing something you simply consider a must do in a day for your own enjoyment? Do you think of it as a job (or is it a job as you intend on selling images/calendars/cards/misc or build a portfolio etc)? How long do you spend with photos that you choose to process? Do you stay up really late/get up really early to have some you & processing time?
Sometimes the only things I do to a photo is exposure, brightness and contrast.... sometimes I adjust levels, curves, crop etc etc, it really depends.
I think, like most people who take photography semi-seriously, you can take a photo with a picture in mind at the end. You will often then need to adjust the photo accordingly....
I certainly don't PP all my "fun" shots, but I certainly do when I am doing a professional shoot for portraits, pets or weddings When those are in mind and there is a $$ figure involved, the time is made available.

Lovely shot ~*Shell*~
Something I would expect to see in an audio magazine for sure

Weibritty - would have made a lovely desert to my main
JS - another great shot
carebear - steal ideas... we are all here to aid / inspire each other
redangel - really like the boots photo

Today's effort is another dinner shot (sorry, had it planned all day!) and with our diet going strong,
Marinated Chinese Five Spiced Prawns on a bed of Moroccan couscous and served with Roasted Butternut Pumpkin with Rosemary

We have 2 dogs that bark in the garden that shares the back fence of our house.
Their barking sets off one of ours.
We got a note (we believe from them) saying that our dog is keeping the neighbourhood awake at night and we should control our dog with a citronella collar, or keep it inside..... If they actually knew we had 2 dogs it would have helped... the fact that the note said "We keep both our dogs inside" meant we know it was them!
The fact is, they have tried to blame us.
It is their dogs that bark (one in particular) and when they bark, the other dogs in the area start. I even have video evidence of our two just walking around quietly with their dog in the background barking away!
Some people have some nerve... sometimes I wish I had the nerves to go tell them, but just like their dogs, the owners are ferral!
-
Yes I have heard them and will be using them to purchase my next camera
They are a very good outfit with good turn around times and provide good extras such as Mack Warranty sales.
I would phone them to check stock first though before placing the order.
There is a huge discussion on them on whirlpool with many many many happy customers for a company that delivery such good prices.

Loving everyone's day 5 shots, some fantastic work, but especially like the train platform shot looking down the track... certainly leads you where you want to go
My photo today comes from having to visit a friend near Brighton Beach who couldnt get CS4 opening her Canon photos.... see Nikon is so much easier OK Winding up the Canon people bit over!
After dinner we took the dogs for a stroll down the beach at sunset, and with the jetty starting to light up with the sunset colours behind me, this grabbed me... some clouds would have been good, but will remember that for next time!

FluffyPaws - great capture of Luca

Before I put my Day 4 photo up just like to say that your photos on here are beginning to inspire me to new levels, and I want to thank you all
JS - Love the bus shot, I know we've chatted lots at meets but your view of things behind the lens is outstanding and you are capturing them perfectly. I know I posted against your flikr too, but this shot is great
As for my Day 4 shot - like the others posted today was 1st proper day back at work since Xmas (ok I was at work last week, but hey, did we really work?)
I had planned this shot for a while, and couldnt execute it quite to my liking, but posted eventually, and will be something I'll try again when I can work it out!
All I kept thinking was that for 2010 I have no holidays planned yet, and I want to ESCAPE!
Looking forward to the rest of the Day 4 shots, and to what Day 5 may bring!

IMHO you might be better off saving up for the D90 over the D5000....
Lack of Focus Motor, Not as well built and a few other small annoyances would be worth the extra $ for a better body
As to what others are saying, try them in your hands first, then shop around for the best price
-
OK here are my first 3 days worth... have my inspiration for Day 4 tonight, just have to go home and take it
Day 1 - 1st shot of Project 365 - A couple shot of the 2 of us... to see how much we change this year
Day 2 - Friend of mines 11 month old daughter
Day 3 - Aubrey with a stick she just couldn't retrieve
-
Thomas will run up behind you and try and nip you on the bum or legs whilst making little yip sounds. He'll also do a bit of an MC Hammer dance at the gate until you open it.
Aubrey will hear the car, run to the rear gate, then run back inside to find a toy so she has one ready once the dog gate has been removed. She'll then do zoomies around the house with the toy until you catch her and play.

Are DWI good? They are certainly cheap
I haven't bought from them but AnnieK has.
I have too and they are awesome....
D-D-Electronics are also very very cheap with fantastic service if your purchase is under $1000 but they then add tax above that. They are the same as DD-Photographics and slightly cheaper
3 day delivery of lenses and flash units from Sydney
DWI will be getting my money for the D300S with battery grip and Mack warranty soon

Can everyone who is doing the Project 365 for 2010 put up their Flickr ID or the address where they'll be uploading their pics to? I'd love to follow everyone!
I'm TerraNik on Flickr. I'll edit my post with the address when I get home (I'm using my iPhone).
I've added you as a friend
-
yay!
Now I just need to come up with the inspiration of what to take when it is snowy, rainy, cold and horrid outside!
Schnauzer prints in the snow

OK I am so in for this...
The project 365 sounds fun too.... so will see how I go for January and maybe keep it going for the year!
