  1. Oh no that sucks. I hope it can be repaired and you can be on the way to your 70-200 again.

Some apps, including Photoshop can tell you how many shutter releases from EXIF as it can be written into the info (well it is on my D80).

Am also getting pee'd off with shops telling me about grey imports, like its better to buy it from your overpriced shop (rant over!)

Anyway... Bec, hope it all works out.... have you looked at rental shops (can be about $150 for a weekend)

  2. We had Aubrey flown at 12 weeks and it didnt do her too much distress.

Just make sure that it is comfortable, relaxed and enjoys the experience and I am sure you'll both be fine :(

If you are crating for the move, get them used to it, to the transportation in a car etc so that it is associated with good things in the transport before the big day

Good luck with the move and the new house.

  3. Another shocking attack, but at least they mention that it was a kelpie cross, it was on leash and the dog was unfortunately PTS.

Poor boy, at least he seems a little bit better than his dad's "All big dogs should be muzzled" attitude.

  4. Unfortunately JS you are on a different manufacture to me, otherwise I'd lend you mine, with a monopod to see if that handles your little shake

For $1000 though, you can't beat it!

Welcome to the Sigma club Bec... your off to a great start with those shots :o

Just about to order the 2x teleconverter for mine... that extra reach should be great for some of the sporting events I have been going to recently :D

  5. Nice shots today, especially yours Huga :o

Seems that everyone was out having picnic's in the park today, must have been something in the water! Botanical Gardens gave me my EEK picture.. as we were snacking on lunch, the OH spotted someone else's lunch in the distance!

The web was everywhere, I didnt want to hang around to see its owner!

  6. Greymarket is not full warranty. the biggest risk for me is the fact that you could be purchasing a returned item that has been repaired and re-sold as new. I would be much more likely to be getting a lens from them than a camera though, less can go wrong with a lens I figure.

This can happen in a shop as well... Shops can easily put a returned item back on their shelves and open it again for you to show it to you

I never said Grey Market gives you full warranty... For peace of mind, get a seperate warranty from Mack who are international and deal specifically in Warranty repairs.

  7. Welcome back Shell :driving: Nice set of photos

I thought that today I'd go for CARD... the OH things she's going to get a Valentine's Card, but I prefer these types of CARD.

A nice game of 21 with a few chips on the table and an average bet... here comes the Ace... is the kicker going to be a Winner?

I am going to avoid killing many birds with this stone, so not going to use it for HIGH (Ace High) or UPSIDE DOWN, which was my original intention! Going to get some other photos for that!

  8. +1 for Colonel Light Vet Clinc - we used them for Aubrey's desexing as we didnt trust Norwood for the task.

+1 for Derek at Norwood - we use him for general stuff with Aubrey and Thomas. Although a couple of the other vets there aren't as good as we would like, so we make sure we get the vet we want.

Matt at Brighton is also a very good vet.
