  1. Hi Esky,

I also did Pet Resumes and made it very thorough, I had a lot of people laugh at me for doing it but but we found a great house with a big back yard and the agent told us that her and the landlord were blown away with the pet resumes.

I included dog training certificates, vaccination and health history. I even had my vet write a small report on each pet about their general health. I also included microchip paperwork, desexing paperwork etc.

I also wrote a 1 page report on each pet that gave a general overview on how I care for them, what they require etc etc. I also included a small photo of each of them and put this on their reports.

    Hope that helps :D

  2. My girl suffered from it when she was younger. On instruction from my trainer I fed her in the car BUT I never drove with her eating or after eating.

Once she was comfortable just eating in the car I would then have the car running whilst I fed her, again I never drove with her eating or just after. After doing this for a while I have never had an issue again, she is now 3 and no slip ups :bolt:

  3. When I was your age I got a job at a pet store and I didn't even last the week!

I still work in the animal industry but could never go back to a pet store. I was always against the sale of pets in pet stores but wanted to get as much experience as I could in all facets of the industry. So sad when they were trying to sell of puppies and kittens to people that had no clue

  4. This is a good one:

I have two dogs needing new homes.

Zeus is a 3yr old shepherd from working lines, fully imported. Has full papers and is a proven breeder. Has obedience training and toilet training. Good with kids, though i'd like to see him go to a house that will either use him for guarding the property with no small animals or to a farm.

Lana is meant to be a Dutch shepherd though she doesn't look the part, her mum is a full dutch but i dont' think her dad was a mal. She's just over a yr old and very laid back and sooky. She will bark at noise and strangers but doesn't have back up to it. She'd suit an active family with no other animals.

Make me an offer on either or both, need to rehome asap. Please note both these dogs have VERY high prey drive, if you can't control them it can turn into aggression.

Also have pups from them, they're not 5wks old yet, will be ready to go after 14th aug. Pups are $500 each, most are brindle.

Email for pics, no time wasters. Only email if you are trully intrested.

    :) :p

    :o ;)

  5. My dog had been barking crazy at one point and we saw a fox on our neighbours ROOF! I was so shocked but apparently it's quite common. We called the council and informed all our neighbours about it but we haven't seen it since, not sure if the council did anything.

  6. If people are that scared of dogs and they enter a GATE that says DOG BEACH and have a fear of dogs and proceed to act all scared at dogs walking past (not even pestering them) I think they are dumb if there is a NO DOG beach a little bit more of a walk down the way?

    Yea exactly!

If you have a fear of dogs do not enter a dog beach and start screaming. There are dogs having fun and running around. I don't agree with dogs jumping all over people but if they are just having fun and NOT hassling anyone I see no problem.

I actually thought that they weren't beaches specifically for dogs but public beaches on which dogs are allowed. If your dogs hassles someone who is frightened of dogs they can still report them and you may end up with your dog decl;ared as dangerous.

To the OP my neice used to be terrified of all animals - dogs, goats chickens - when she was younger. There was no reason for it that anyone could see and she did grow out of it with help. It was a real fear and not something to be laughed at.

The general beaches have curfews in summer where as the dog beach is 24/7 that you can have dogs there. It is closed off with fences and gates along with signs about the dog beach. I just get frustrated by people coming into this fenced off beach and start screaming by the sight of dogs. There is a the general beach just 50m up where dogs are not allowed that is what is frustrating about this particular dog beach. I have never had issues with my dog there but I have seen it with others. I usually find a spot on my own for my dog as it is but I have observed this happening with other dogs.
