    All I am going to say on the subject is they all had plenty of warning, I would have had my animals elsewhere by the time the water hit.

    My Aunt was in cyclone Tracey and when she evacuated with her 6 kids the also took their small dog she wrapped it in a shawl kept her covered and pretended she was a baby. Because their was no way she was leaving her behind either.

    Exactly how do you prove it? Yes it is ethically wrong, but remember some show people have no ethics at all.

    No you can prove it, yes Im sure there are many, many desexed dogs being shown, but there are RULES and if they can and will be flouted whats the point of even having said rule, thats all i was saying!! Geez!!!

    I remember a few years ago a dog that was being shown and the rumour mill had it as being desexed well years later it had a litter of pups after the owner stopped showing it. 2 and 2 was put together then and it sure didnt add up to 4

    I am currently clipping my shepherds off and am using Oster horseclippers as they dont get as hot as the dog ones. I use a size 10 blade, and the dogs dont mind either, I also do my cat with the same size blade.

    Have to ask. Why on earth would you clip a GSD?

    because the heat was really getting to my oldies I did not clip the younger

    Not a fan of clipping double coated breeds either. One of the things in my life I that I regret is letting a client bully me into clipping a GSD.

    Used to clip a Chow. OMG was that fun, not.

    Personally I would be looking at getting horse clippers if I wanted to be clipping off larger double coated breeds. So have a look in HorseLand.

    I've never thought much of the Mars Coat Kings but am totally in love with my Les Pooches brushes.

    wjhy did you regret the GSD being clipped apart from klooking funny . their coat grows back

    Yeah Cosmolo I do understand what you are referring to when you are talking about the foot on lead and what I saw was definately not that.

    I think I will still raise the issue with a letter.

    Also too I think the girl with the pup may have looked at me like, what would you know I have been coming here for a while and never seen you here before why should I listen to you.

    I guess instructor numbers are limited and if there were any other people interested in instructing in a nice manner they would probably just head over to the other club in town (which does not do agility).

    Good idea the letter and maybe offer your services to help out as well. Or maybe go and have another look as looks are decieving and it is only ones perception.

    A dog is not a child.

    You need to seek medical attention.

    Very cruel and heartless response Oakway. We KNOW our dogs are not human children but they are our 'family' none the less. Most on here view their dogs as their furKIDS and we ALL suffer the same grief in losing a beloved pet as we do a human relative. There is also NO TIME LIMIT on grief.

    Cruel, heartless, I don't think so. Cruel and heartless is when you lose your new baby son at 5 days of age.

    But life goes on and we live on. Does Yap think think they are are the only ones to lose a beloved dog. We all lose them but we still get on with our lives.

    Also what I said is the truth how do know that those words may be just the words to bring Yap out of this state.

    Those words stand a dog is not a child and Yap needs professional help.

    I have removed my post as reading further down I realize Yap is just heartbroken badly

    reading between the lines I think she needs to come on here with dog lovers and people who understand her pain

    and get full on support she needs

    t is cruel and heartless, I lost my son at 3 months of age another that was dear to me at 18 I also lost my 13 yo Abbey ROad and my grief was no different , I grieved my sons and I grieved my old dog who was part of our child family. Yap you grieve all you need to but please go and talk to someone as well. I talk to my dear departed ones all the time, time heals but never does it forget. My heart goes out to you , please go and talk to someone.

    Where To Draw The Line With Vet Bills?

    I have a sick dog and I was told by someone I highly respect that there comes a time when enough is enough and you need to draw the line in the sand,

    Well for My girl there is still no line in the sand but it will get there one day now she is in her twilight years, and whilst I can afford it and she is painless the line can wait.
