Yes I agree - but most of the judges dont. Oh well - their choice. I will still wear my hat, its well fitted and doesnt come off in any weather. Thanks everyone for the replies though.

I hope you do wear your christmas hat! I think that skin cancer out weighs the other factors. Maybe its because I have lily white skin! LMAO Mine fits fine and doesnt blow off but it does depend on style and fit. In the Qld climate I think its crazy not to wear one. I hope this post gets the people thinking about it!!!

Hi I find sometimes you can do too much show training. We made that mistake with our first show dog. Did too much training and it became boring and dull. She also would hang her head in the ring and really ended up hating it. Now I do maybe 1 - 2 minutes every couple of days and my dogs love the shows. My advice is not to push it. Dont put too much pressure on your baby. Sorry I couldn't assist more. Good luck

So I have noticed that hardly anyone wears a hat whilst showing. I live in Qld and as I have quite white skin I plan to wear one but its not the norm . . . why?

Its def a trial and error thing. I tried Advance and Supacoat and I wasn't happy with my girls growth rate although my friend feeds her whole kennel on Advance. Its a personal thing. Having a large breed it is extremely important to ensure they grow nice and slowly. LOL Good luck.

Hi I dont have a GSD but I have a large breed puppy and I feed her Royal Canin. It is fantastic and I wont feed her anything else. She gets Maxi Junior. She is growing well, minimal poos and looks awesome. I would stick with Royal Canin. ;)

Royal Canin all the way - FANTASTIC!!!

My pup whines and barks when she needs to go out to the toilet - she is crated. That is the whole reason to crate them so they you are toilet training. They dont like going to the toilet on their beds. I take pups out when they need to go now my 5 month old pup is sleeping right through. She is in the bedroom though.

Hi I use proban which is fantastic for Ticks but also do the search daily. Be sure to really check carefully around the mouth, ears (especially for long eared dogs), feet, belly, armpits and back end. Good luck!
