Another candle lit for Jed
Thinking of you Jed

Oh get better soon Tyson, hope everything goes well with the operation, so sorry he is losing a leg
He is a lucky lucky boy to have parents who are looking after him and seeing him through this, sending healing vibes from here
Hope his owners follow through with the council about this, poor Tyson is paying the price of irresponsible owners
Get well soon Tyson

I have lit another one for Jed today also
For some reason I feel compelled to make sure that my candle doesnt go out, almost as if its linked to Jed - sounds silly but I guess thats the depth of the connection I feel hearing someone, so respected by us all, go through this horrible ordeal.
Get well soon Jed

;) Bitty, hope your day is filled with yummy treats and lots of cuddles

I start tearing up just thinking about it. I hope in some way the outpouring of empathy and support that DOLers have shown for Jed will somehow find it's way to her and gently rest around her shoulders like a soft comforting blanket.
Prayers and blessings for the people who will have to break the news to her too, that's going to be one hard and heartbreaking job
Will be burning more candles over the weekend
+1
Have lit a candle for Jed also

sending healing vibes and thoughts to Tyson and his owners/parents
What a horrible thing to happen specially in his own yard
to the owners who let their dogs do this

I have just put my application in to become a member also
Having been inspired by recent threads and also the response to Jed's predicament, thought it was about time I joined. My partner and I were talking the other night about this organisation and how worthy it is
Awesome work by all at MDBA Pacers, you have my respect and admiration for the hard work you do

Sorry for your loss
RIP Bobby who was much loved

I'm a big believer in giving credit where credit is due and as such Id like to commend the RSPCA for the role they played with Jed's animals.
They picked them up and took them to safety and bathed and cared for them until we could get in later in the day to take them home.
They were kind and courteous and allowed the pickup to go without a hitch.
I will be sending them a Thank you note and felt we needed to acknowledge what they did and the way they did it.

I think its a beautiful thing that MDBA and everyone from DOL are doing to help out especially respecting those that have gone to the bridge

I look forward to reading all of Jed's posts like everyone else
Kudos to MDBA for jumping in to help so quickly and doing the pratical things for Jed
Its beautiful to see everyone rallying around a fellow DOLer in their time of need

Sorry to hear about Jenna
A friend of mine's dog Benny has a lump under his tongue. His vet gave a referral to Perth Veterinary Specialists, they tried a treatment on him that has only been used on 5 other dogs with varying success. It did shrink Benny's lump but unfortunately it didnt kill it.
My friend had really good experiences taking Benny to these guys, not only did they recognise and welcome Benny every time he went there but they did a lot of research to find something that might help Benny.
Perth Veterinary Specialists are in Osborne Park
Good luck with Jenna, I will be thinking of you both

I saw this on anther forum I visit and thought others here might like it;
A rolled up newspaper can be an effective pet training tool when used properly.
For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase, "I forgot to watch my dog! I forgot to watch my dog!"
Just a little giggle for the day.
