  1. WA - they are so cute - I love the markings on the purple girl

Jrm - not much longer now - how long til you get to pick out which one will be yours?

Aww Jakemon - a little tiny one!

I got to see the babies today but couldn't get any decent pics as my kids were being a handful. Good news though - I can pick her up on Friday! Her rego papers were put in today and will be back tomorrow. Friday! 3 more sleeps!

  2. Hi there

I am getting my first show pup in the next week or two(:D), and we are going to be entering a 2 day specialty in March. Can anyone tell me what the options are for camping/cheap accommodation? We have a tent, I will have a gazebo by then, but there will be me, OH, two kids plus dog - so any tips on what others find really useful would be great :cheer:

  3. WA - that's great news - hope you can get some pics! :cheer:

Aww Kylie - he is gorgeous!! What a stunner - and he sounds like a real little character too :o

Congratulations dilemmax - good luck getting everything ready for your puppy. have you got much more to organise?

MInxy and WA - if my OH knew how much I have already spent on puppy stuff

  4. They are gorgeous doggeek - your boys are very cute too :whee: It must be lovely to have them safe and sound in Australia.

I got some good news today - I am getting a puppy! The pups are now 6 weeks old which means I may have my girl home with me in only 2 weeks time, and I will get to visit them some time in the next week or so. So excited!

  5. Best wishes for your pup Atua :xmastree:

  6. He looks very cute Dxenion!

My hopeful pup-to-be will be 6 weeks in only 2 days time. Then I will find out if one will be mine! Then I will get to visit them and have squishy puppy cuddles! Have been stalking my breeders facebook page and ogling the pics of the babies and they are adorable. I'm sorry but you guys are just going to have to take my word for it for now until I visit them myself and take some pics

  7. Aannie: Check out this site/blog(www.dogstardaily.com), it has heaps of fantastic articles, I have Ian Dunbar's book as well which is really good (Before and After Getting Your Puppy), there is a top ten list of recommended books on the dog star daily site under the store tab. Another book which has been recommended to me and I have on the way is 'The Focused Puppy' by Deborah Jones(they have free shipping on this at the moment at www.cleanrun.com) :

  8. 7 weeks to go!!!

All i can say is I am glad I have xmas and new years to distract me.

I am going crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy having to wait!

I received some more toys from cleanrun yesterday from their free shipping, I feel like maybe I should be buying things other than toys :thanks:

I am glad of those distractions too jrm - I have just under two weeks until I find out if I get a pup, then another 3 weeks after that I can hopefully pick puppy up. The not knowing for sure if I will even get a pup is driving me pretty crazy :)

I got some of those free shipping toys too from clean run - toys are fun to buy - I've got lots of toys too, but no crate yet

lady 0421 OMG your baby girl Monya is SOOO cute!! Thatis a great list of achievements - you deserve to be proud

  9. To break up a fight between two entire female SBT's, my OH used a wet towel over the face of the aggressor, as soon as they pulled back the towel went over the whole head. Dog was completely disoriented and once they were out of sight of each other they were fine. I realise it's a bit hairy to put hands near the pointy end, but it was with our own dogs, and they were really locked on so not moving and spinning much. Water, whacking them etc definitely just made things worse.

It's a bit different when it's your own dogs though as you don't want to injure them - sorry if too off topic, I realise this discussion is about random off-lead dogs attacking your own dog. Curious as to dog trainers thoughts on this technique though.

  10. Aww so cute random999 - what a sweetie!

    great news jrm! :cheer:

Aanie - sounds like you are pretty prepared - treats? I've got Aloveen shampoo for mine which smells nice and is gentle on their skin.

My pup was 3 weeks on Friday, so another 5-6 weeks to go. I still have to get a crate, play pen and show trolley.
