  2. Wont be going pro for a while and if i get that good might even make a few bucks . I know i should ask for permission but im not making any money from it so im sure people wont mind hopefully... But thanks for warning me :D
  3. im keeping it even if it doesnt mainly cause i like the way i shaded it. I think everyong including myself thinks the ears need to be bigger :D
  4. Thanks i NEVER trace i think its wrong, i have saved that page into favourites on the internet so i can easily go back and forth :D. Probs wont draw for a few days as i will be busy but keep an eye out i will put it in a new post :D.
  5. Good luck with the interior design. Yeah i looked on the Tafe Qld website and it had everything i need for my portfolio. 15 different drawings off the top of my head one had to be the human figure so this website will help me i think especially with people
  6. I honestly dont mind help its good and ive gotton better since my first labrador drawing i will have a look at that website and i will see what i make of it I need to do so many drawings to get into the graphics design course next year so the more drawings the better :D. I also need to get a drawing tablet do you have one id like to know how much different they are then drawing on paper?
  7. As someone already said the dingoes have many natural prey foods already there and are not starving. Introducing rabbits to what is a mostly untouched environment would reak havoc and they would destroy the island. I don't think it needs to be as far as banning toddlers/young children, my friend went over Easter Weekend and her toddler came out just fine. It comes down to the parents being responsible about their children. If you don't want to keep a constant eye on your child then don't go to Fraser Island or leave your kids at home with babysitters/family because they need to be closely and constantly supervised. Yes, but unfortunately there are a lot of people out there without any common sense who do not properly supervise their kiddies. It may be a tough restriction but if it saves lives (of both the dingo and human kind)... Not allowing children under a certain age rules out the scenario of the young child wandering off and getting attacked. Heck, I'm pretty sure one of the islands off Cairns in FNQ (Lizard, I think?) have an age restriction and that's only for quiet enjoyment of the island, nothing to do with predators. I would say the island in FNQ is privately owned though. I don't think Qld Government can put age restrictions on public land... You are a good parent but a lot dont have common sense like mr.mister said and i think that has been proven with kids that have been attacked by dingoes. If they can put restrictions on alcohol, smoking and dog breeds etc they should be able to do that. LOL I don't have kids (outside of the furry kind) Your right lots don't have common sense that is why I think rangers need more power to remove people from the island if they are beong stupid or breaking the rules. It is one things to ban products/dogs and another to stop certain people from going to a public owned place and could you imagine the stink that would be made. Many of the people who visit the island have families, for every one irresponsible parent there are 200 responsible parents on Fraser. I wonder if they were Aussies or tourists (the people whose child got bitten). Aussies seems to be pretty responsible on the island these days. Thats true about the tourist or aussie thing. You do see a lot of tourist get rescued on the bondi beach show, i guess you cant ban stupid people from a beach either :D
  8. I bet you could draw if you practised i started when i got my dog max he was my inspiration although when i was little i drew dogs on there side and they only had 2 legs i think i was 8yrs old.
  9. Does doesnt it haha i think once i put detail in it, might look more GSD i will have a look at the eye placement. I was more worried about the ears That is a good line drawing. It's not that it looks more GSD or more husky, it's more important as to whether it looks like the dog you are drawing. Check your proportions of the space between the eyes, the size of the eyes, and the space between the sides of the head and the eyes. On GSDs the eye rims are usually black and visible (like the pic in your sig), where as huskies with their longer face fur can appear to have smaller eyes because the rims are often hidden or lighter in pigment. Drawing in the rims will give the eyes a different look, but refer back to your photo always for how it should look, don't rely on what you think a GSD looks like. I can give more helpful advice if you can post the photo you are drawing. Don't be afraid to try pictures of the dog's head at slightly different angles. Just practice doing line drawings, and then pick your best ones to render. If you look at the pics in my signature, the ones where the head is slightly to the side tend to look more like a particular breed than the face-on shots. I also think they are easier to draw, and often give character to a picture. If I was going to draw Coconut from that photo, I would draw the green shaped section first (background outline), then mark in where the other features are based on where they sit in relation to that outline and each other. Yeah i know what you mean about drawing different angles, just get scared the first drawing was the first dog ive drawn with the mouth open and i think i did great :D Picture << thats the pic i am drawing and its just the face

  13. Just sad to know that people like this actually live near us
  14. what I'd like to note is that in 'I Am Legend' with Will Smith - the hero dog is a GSD!! :p ;) and he was dark but tri coloured! I refuse to watch i am legend for the fact they kill him
  15. Yep that is true about the movies they always have black large dogs such as Dobes and Rottweilers. Sad really
  16. Winstons story its sad because this dog was found not far from me lucky he is in good hands now.
  17. To me black dogs stand out more... i must be evil
  18. Basic outline anything need to be tweaked let me know :D no shading or detail done yet waiting to see if everything is in the right place
  19. My friend wants one as a working dog on her OH parents property apparently they can be very versatile and can be used to do anything (she knows a man who owns one). I hope they dont get overly popular and end up in the wrong hands. Although they are stunning looking
  20. Good idea :D i will draw the outline and i will post it on here to see what everyone thinks of the proportions. I always listen to music when im drawing it gets me more focused
  21. i watched that also, i think its horrible to judge a dog by colour ive always liked black dogs and i think its just a myth more than anything. It was tawain not thailand haha.
