I had some feedback from someone i emailed with the scans, they look pretty good, was the comment. "Her hips and elbows are fairly good. The hips - the right hip is just slightly shallow and just slightly loose - nothing to worry about, the left hip has a very slight thickening of the cranial acetabular edge, again nothing to worry about, her elbows are normal. There is a calcinosis ( calcium deposit next to one elbow - again not an issue, won't cause any lameness etc. Her hips would probably score around 6-8 on the right and 4-5 on the left. The pass mark for the "A" stamp is a maximum of 8 points in total with no more than 3 points in any one area. Certainly would not be concerned about either of her hips or elbows as a long term issue,"

I do see the difference, how is yours otherwise, pain, walking, activity ?

i haven't taken her to a chiro for this problem as of yet, but i have in the past, and he was fairly certain she had no hip issues

Which specialists did you have in mind? Sorry did you attach an x-ray ?

neither did I, I thought they just sent them off if you wanted them reviewed for AZ ratings, you could post pictures of them on another forum, and they could tell you what they think. Also I'd think if there was something seriously wrong the vet would of said something. Thanks.. what other forum are you talking of ? I am comparing them myself, i am well far from an expert, but it is helping me stay positive as they don't look bad..to me only that is.

I haven't sent them off, so no idea when i will know!

Ok got her back, blood results tomorrow, however i wasn't aware that after getting the X-rays (i have them with me) i had to send them off elsewhere to get them reviewed

Ok, Just left Sara off at the vet (dr Zammit) She is getting Bloods, X-ray and nails.

Well i have left a message with Mr Zammit and emailed him. Didn't leave a message with Karen's receptionist, kept telling me to call back, i did email her though.

he has been gaining mass recently, i was fairly impressed lol, i have a backyard pool but no way for her to get in our out, i'll have to try and fashion something

Has anyone been able to contact Karen Hedberg recently, the number i googled can't seem to get through. Called Rob Zammit, waiting for a call back to have a chat.

Any ideas of one in Sydney west? Ever heard of this kind of thing before ? I really only noticed it today for the first time, we went playing fetch yesterday.

I seem to only get the noise when i make her circle anti-clockwise, head stays in the center and make her hind legs do the circular motion if that makes sense.

Hey all, I am due to go to the Vet with Sara (2yr old GSD), i just noticed a clicking sound coming from her hip, but only happens when i make her side step, or atleast of what i have noticed so far. I don't notice any pain, any lameness, pain, bunny hopping or any of the other diagnosable symptoms. I mentioned in another thread i had started, i have recently started to exercise her more, not sure if this would have anything to do with it. I will definitely mention it to the vet, but wanted to see if anyone else has heard or had something similar with their dog? Cheers

Off topic, but what are thoughts on giving my dog anti-anxiety meds, to hopefully take the edge off, so the vet can do what they need to do? I will also take her for a run/ fetch session before going as well.

Ok second night in a row, it is quite a bit cooler tonight, even after her walk going nutso lol
