  1. Bulldogs don't hate cats. What a silly statement.

My parents have always had bulldogs and cats, and I work with many dogs and cats daily and had come across many bulldogs who live and get along with cats.

Every dog is different, some will be ok with them some not. It will depend on the dog not the breed

  2. I have a bull terrier and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who live with 4 cats. They all respect each other (except the 19 year old cat who picks on the dogs )

It's not just about breed of the dog. I would look more at your cat first, is he used to other dogs, can you try him around dogs before you go ahead? If he is going to freak out he will set the pup off. Even mine will chase the cats if they run or hiss at something.

This can work but you need to make sure your cat is ok first, then find the right dog

  3. K9 pro is actually a great suggestion. I would send them a message and see what they say.

@belinda74the RSPCA will not take this pup on to rehome, if they accept the pup it will be destroyed. They kill so many dogs a year, they won't try to save one who has a bite history and is a bull breed.

@coneye  Yes. The end result may be this dog being put down. But carrying on like above won't help at all, after the first few lines I've just scrolled past every one of your posts.

I agree something has to be done, but name calling and going on the way you are is doing absolutely nothing to help.

  4. I'm a dog walker. Some days we can walk KMs other days we get two houses down the road. I walk the dog for them, not me

Yesterday I had a dog just walk 2 doors up and sit in the corner, he was so happy just watching life, so we sat there for half a hour and came home.

The owner said he was exhausted and slept all day !

  6. A friend of mine is dealing with the same thing.

They were given and oddle but on ' breeders terms' the dog is 3 and terrified of everything, the 'breeder' can collect at any stage. She can't do anything with him without their ok.

She has had him 4 months and only seen him one week of that. When they finish making their money they will dump him back on her and she will be responsible for the cost of desexing and any other medical bills

  7. I've stepped in for many people who couldn't be there with their pets. You never know what people have been through and what they can or can not handle.

If they have taken their pet in to be pts and not kept it at home suffering than that show more love than a lot of pets get.

My parents can't be in with their animals. They have seen 2 of their children die and watching their pets leave them is just to much. I take huge offence at them being called selfish for their choices.

Grass allergy is a misery - would he wear little boots at outside time?

He needs a jumper to cover his tummy... Sadly Bolt thinks they are great toys and rips them all off!!

Now it's gotten cold it's been a bit better, so hopefully we will have a break till spring now and maybe then we can do clothes!!!!

Pets at Peace and Pet Rest have to be watched very carefully.

Edited to add that there isn’t much choice.

What do you mean they have to be watched?

Pets at peace here are amazing. Even if there was another company I would still go with them

  11. I've just paid pets at peace last week for my cat. Once she leaves I'll call them and they will come and get her for me

All my urns are kept in a big pot in my front garden. Once we have our forever home we will bury them all together.

Don't know how I missed this.   Welcome to Jinx Sparkles    And Bolt is all growed up

How will the 2 boys go once they mature?  (bull terriers can be a bit picky when it comes to dog friends)

I know they say 2 bitches can be bad, just wondered if your two males could go that way too?   I've only ever had male/female for a long time, but many years ago had 2 bitches, one was a Rottie and the other Kelpie x.   They never had a problem as they were both soft dogs, real snuggle bugs.

Ohh poor Bolt, I won't tell her what you said... But she is a girl

She was meant to be a boy and Nick already had Bolt picked out, we ended up keeping it even though there were no male pups in the litter!
