water the veg have been cooked in is a fave with my dogs - no need to use stock cubes!
have you tried feeding 3 or 4 small meals a day? scrambled egg, sardines, some pulverised or cooked veg, tripe - a good variety is how they get all the nutrients, some kibble and lots of chicken carcass doesn't sound like he is getting everything he needs

I have a pen around the box and hook the bowl up to that, set just high enough to keep young puppy paws out of it but low enough so it can't be tipped over
-
it's been mentioned a few times on dol and seems to be of no use

These are what I have gone with, if you want to have a go at them!

1. Name a breed of dog that survived the Titanic sinking

-
i wouldn't - fresh ones have more flexible and easy to digest bones - sharp pieces would be a warning sign to me to not use them again
-
We;ve also got a guess the breed from pictures, where the front and back of the dog are 2 different breeds
-
Thanks for the suggestions, some are a bit to Aus based for a UK show training club but still plenty to work with
Rappie - guessing the answer is no as the clavicle is used for muscle attachments for tree swingers and i don;t think we have a breed of dog that does that!
-
i'd use an antibacterial/antifungal cleaner - i use one in the washer for the dog blankets - you might find the cover comes off your crate, some of them do, then it can go in washer with the blanket
-
I'm putting together a dog quiz for our dog club xmas party - it is amazing how few amazing facts their are about dogs on the www as they all seem to have copied from each other!
So, have you got a great fact about dogs, dog breeds or anything related to dogs, that would be a good quiz question (so not to difficult for most people but hard enough so everyone doesn't get every question correct!)
-
Why has the dobe got spikey colour over the nose? That isn't how the colour really is or is it just to make it look angry so people guess with the sterotype?
-
Will you be having to get a vaccination done for the pup while with you?
What was the breeder going to do if they hadn't sold all the pups by the time they were going away? Seems they have cut the timing rather fine on going on holiday.
-
We have a show at a kennels and they have the same thing, a grassed bank infront of the runs so the dogs can't see much of anything and the sound is lessened
-
i would hold off on the desexing - you could end up regretting it
-
first thing would be to check to poo to see if the rocks are coming all the way through.
If it was my dog, i would block access to the pebble area to prevent it eating them
-
i would give it another month and worry if the adult teeth are more then half way through.
some nice chewy bones will help
-
you don't teach them to heel for shows, you want the dog moving out away from you, preferably on a loose lead.
Dogs know which sport they are doing and work accordingly, plenty of dogs doing show and obedience. I personally don;t like the head wrapped around my leg with dog looking up at me position which is getting more popular now.
-
Then I won't give you my opinion! :D
-
In the end I got an electric table, saves on the foot action and dogs just glide up and down at a steady pace
-
it's how dogs play, just like kids scream at each other when playing, doesn't mean they are going to kill each other - that is the point you need to educate in other people, if they don;t like you dogs playing then they can move away
The Boxer play-style can be disconcerting to people (and dogs) who haven't seen it before.
Yours sound quite normal to me Boxerlove. I doubt you can train them not to growl while playing. That said, I'm pretty selective about my dog interacting with others as I know he could easily 'offend' other dogs with his goofy play-style.
The boxer play style isn't unique to the breed, lots of large dogs play in the same way, my giants play like this as do other simmilar breeds.
One of the first things we teach at our foundation/puppy course is to watch the pups play and look at the body language and sounds so we can see if it is serious or just noisy play - educate those around you and they won't be so uptight

noodles upset me!
-
There are plenty of mini schnauzers with bat ears if you do a google search! Let us know what the breeder recommends
-
That's interesting smish, i've never found black shampoo to do anything (the giants can get a bit brown in the legs in summer with trips to the beach most days) so i tend to just use a whitening shampoo on them.
Does the pangenics affect coat texture?

haha i thought it was supposed to be rare breeds?!! I was thinking looks like a sibe but can;t be!

What exercise does your male get? You only mentioned walking the girls.
Simple diet is 'less food & more exercise' and remembering this isn't a diet to loose weight, but a diet to maintain the correct weight for that dog - so it is a lifestyle change for long term health benefits.
