I would go to the Local Court and lodge a Letter of Demand.for the deposit. I'm not sure about legal procedures in ACT but you can definitely lodge a Letter of Demand in NSW. Maybe check with your Local Court.

I usually leash my dogs (even in an off leash park)if there are children around. Because they are big dogs and could knock a child over. It's just easier to leash them and safer . If I had an American Staffy I would definitely leash it around children. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
