As well it's usually the restrained dog on a leash that is well behaved and the unrestrained dog/dogs off leash that are poorly behaved.

@Rebanne Yes. That post illustrates exactly the arrogance of off leash dog walkers. Of course my dog is socialised. He lives with another dog and plays off leash with his doggie friends in a off leash park every day.

Does anyone else get as angry as I do at people walking their dogs off a leash all the time. They don't even bother to carry a leash with them. In my street we have a cattledog that goes for other dogs and is continually off leash. There are also 2 large Golden Retreivers that act as a pack and again never a leash in sight. You do wonder where the Rangers are when you need them.

I think in Europe you can actually purchase another seat for your pet.

I remember the post about the farting dog on an overseas flight. Apparently it was so bad it was reported in the media. When I was in France some years ago we went to an International Dog Show with over 16,000 dogs. It was not unusual to be in the hotel lifts with Great Danes, Bernese Mountain dogs etc. The dogs all stayed in the hotel rooms with their owners. Some of the smaller dogs were on part of our flight home. None of it was a problem and noone blinked even with the dogs in the hotel dining areas..

Be like one of my dog walking friends. When she was younger she always had deerhounds. She was in her 80's when she got another one. He absolutely dwarfed her but they made a great pair Peggy & Hector.

Otterhound or Barbet neither available in Australia and Irish wolfhound or Deehound except too many health problems and very short life spans. So I am stuck with a Giant Schnauzers and a Black Russian Terrier instead.

I also like Applaws which you can buy at Woollies. Here is the Australian Pet Food Review for Applaws. https://www.petfoodreviews.com.au/applaws-dog-food-review/

When is it time for the rainbow bridge.

We usually call time when they stop eating and don't want to go for walks or can't walk. In any case it's a difficult decision even when you are expecting it. -
Dog Breeder Claims May Put Unsuspecting Owners at Risk

The difference is with amstaffs and pitbulls is when they attack they do more damage than other dogs due to their jaws and how they can latch on. -
Dog Breeder Claims May Put Unsuspecting Owners at Risk

I imagine there are a lot of Pitbulls sold as American Staffies. Particularly on Gumtree. -
