  1. Hey I completely agree with you!! It's only water!! But still, it's nice to think we're not going to get totally saturated, too
  2. Ah the bonus of knowing people in high places!
  3. Updated weather forecast: Saturday Few showers, mainly morning. Min 11, Max 19 Sunday Fine. Min 8, Max 20
  4. I keep checking the forecast. Today it says "few showers" for both days. (Was simply "showers" before - I think this is an improvement!!) Yep there will be an email and/or phone call if the venue changes
  5. Haven't forgotten Crusader... no joke In a word? WET!
  6. Hi, No the park isn't enclosed... but everything will be on lead anyway, so shouldn't be a problem
  7. The carpark isn't far at all from where we'll be, there's also a wide grass verge "opposite" us, I reckon if you bring the trailer there'd be a spot you could park it and still see it and the dog. Foxtel Weather forecasts 19 deg and showers both days. I have the feeling it will be a bit like the weekend we just had ETA: By the way... was it a nice drop of Goundry?!!
  8. Very very very sad :p
  9. Ahhh, but it's not cold & wet in July, is it Sorry.
  10. What a great idea, Red Mal do you mind waiting till next July?! As I'll be in the UK at that time for a holiday, I could fit in the workshop at the same time How cool would that be!
  11. What a dude!! Bring him... with his coat!!
  12. I'm sure that would be fine? My boy is entire and he'll be going
  13. Oh Boxa, what a shock! I'm so very sorry to hear your sad news. Big hugs
  14. Hmmm, not sure yet. Dianella Plaza is literally 5 minutes (if that) away... Red Rooster & Pizza Hut Pretty sure I'm taking a dog both days
  15. Purely out of curiosity, and I apologise if I've missed earlier info, is there a specific reason you're training him on the piddle pads? Do you have a garden with any lawn or dirt/sand/garden bed? The piddle pads, in my opinion, actually teach them to go to the toilet in the house. If you are home quite a bit (it sounds like you are?), making regular trips outside is by far the best way to go...
  16. Yes I'm doing this to the weather gods.... LOL
  17. Thanks Al for your offer. We will stick with the current plans for now (full details will follow), maybe consider a 'Plan B' if the forecast is horrific
  18. Yep it's a local park. There isn't a specific place to tie dogs up to. A few trees. Maybe bring one of those tie-out stakes? In the beginning, it was a big drama trying to find somewhere suitable, it went on for a long time, and with that in mind and also keeping costs down, we just selected a local park. No backup venue has been selected - finding a venue at all was hard enough! I don't know if I dare say this, but we'd be damn unlucky to get constant rain the whole weekend, this is Perth afterall. I think we can handle a few showers though it's only water There is a bit of shelter we can get under during showers but not to conduct the entire day from.
  19. really looking forward to it - not long now, 3 weeks tomorrow :D
  20. Hi Baja, the link that Bilby gave you previously has all the info on it. If you browse the rest of the K9 Force website, (not just the WA Workshop page), it details the training methods and there are plenty of articles to read. K9 Force Website Also, if you search this Training forum on Dogz Online for K9 Force, you will find plenty of information and discussions. The costs are as advertised, regardless of whether or not you take your dog. These workshops are for us humans to learn how to train our dogs, and Steve will demo his methods using the dogs that are there throughout the day, but not every dog is guaranteed to be worked and some people find it easier to "soak up" all the information without their dog there. So, entirely up to you really Hope this helps
