  1. Hi there, The one you're thining of in Vic Park is Perth Training & Obedience Dog Club. Their website is here From what I've heard, it is well worth the drive from Morley to Vic Park to go to this club. I'll be going next year, and I'm in Yokine. Not sure of any clubs closer to Morley, there is Northern Suburbs but they train at Carine. Also Joondalup dog club, which is probably further for you than Vic Park! Cheers
  2. I love these dog food threads. I never fail to come away with another new idea! Thanks everyone
  3. Hi GM!! Got your PM  He's looking great, you'd done a really fantastic job, that was one hairy boy and he's looking immensly better!! I agree with Raz - keep going just a liiiiiittle bit more. A bit more can come off the top of his head, and his ears... his tail (mainly underneath where all the whispy bits are), and his legs (his front knees look a bit hairy still), and neaten up around his feet.
  4. Not quite sure which rock I've been hiding under.... but.... Count me in
  5. Hey When did they say you can expect the results?
  6. Oh Boxa, I only just saw this thread Really hope your girl will be ok... have you taken her back to the vet? Will keep checking for updates.
  7. for sure, for sure!! NO!!! :D If she gave birth to a baby, that makes her female correct? And last time I checked, I also am female. And my partner is definately male. So, urm, nope not flirting with Arianwen!! As for Princess Tasha don't they just melt you're heart when they're poorly-sick-injured and need nursing Bless.
  8. So Dan, how is Princess Tasha doing this evening?? I think they're sh!t outta luck, Dan is married methinks?!! Don't know why, you just write with knowledge of someone older. Isn't it funny how we percieve people "online" who we've never met *Mutters to self*... I can't for the life of me remember if Osborne Park have fireworks both nights or just Friday night... :D
  9. They woofed and carried on for 10 mins after the last BANG, mind you. Bloody Jack Russells I'm really going to bed now. Night!
  10. Dan, sounds like you're in extremely knowledgeable hands with Arianwen (who I would never have guess is only 24!)... I think the website for free photo hosting is called photobucket...? Do a google search, it will find it for you. Good luck with the reasearch, keep positive and I will be sure to check in tomorrow for any updates. G'night all PS: We survived the fireworks... and I'm 27
  11. Dan where abouts in Perth are you? I'm in Yokine and the Osborne Park Show is on... fireworks in 5 minutes! Got all the dogs inside and all the doors & windows closed Sorry I can't help with a good link to some research for you... keep hunting I'm sure you'll find some, or some clever DOLer will step in with some links. And we're away!! BANG BANG BANG!!!! BARK BARK BARK!!!!
  12. Hi Dan, Glad to hear you have your girl home and she's comfortable and settled. All you can do now is wait for the results to come back, so keep those positive vibes flowing
  13. Just wondering how you got on with your girl today. Have been checking back to see if there's an update. Hope it went OK
  14. Oh dear I'm sorry to read of the bad time you're going through at the moment. Not much of a welcome to the forums is it I haven't experienced this and can offer no advice, but do hope everything will be OK with your girl tomorrow. Take care
  15. Hello there, I think you have every right to feel how you do about this. I'd feel the same way. It's a bit much to offer a further explanation of the results in person but then charge you for it. My vet is fantastic, during times of "on-going" problems I've popped in there with the dog for what I guess you'd call a "follow up" visit and not been charged. I wouldn't expect a free consult or treatment or advise on a new, unrelated matter, but in your case, I wouldn't have expected to pay as you did, no. As Bob said - you really don't need this right now
  16. Oh no, I'm so very sorry to read your sad news Enjoy every moment you have with her, love her and spoil her rotten. Take care of yourself
  17. Maybe they are just little greedy guts?! ;) But I'd be feeding them twice day. Mine get a small meal in the morning and fed again at dinner time.
  18. Slightly stating the obvious here - but this is simply not good enough! Really hope your dog will be OK
  19. I took advantage of the galeforce winds at Bunbury show yesterday... got a dog on the trolley and proceeded to hand strip dead coat, the wind took it off far far away, no chance of it landing on anybody's gear or dogs!
  20. No worries, and I look forward to receiving those photos It will be a lot of work, but the results you get will make it all worthwhile After grooming mine, I tell them how sexy they look, every time I look at them for the next 24 hours
  21. Hi GM Shame you are up in Geraldton, I'd love to get my mits on your hairy boy!! *evil laugh* (Hey Raz... Gero is about 5-6 hours drive north from me ) You will need to remove all the dead top coat. I use a Mars stripping knife for this and/or hand strip wearing a rubber glove. I use thinning scissors on the legs, elbows, bum, underneath the tail, chest and their "mane". I have a smaller stripping knife for their legs & face, taking all the dead hair off their cheeks, eyebrows, head, ears, etc. Trim the excess hair from inside their ears with scissors. Cut out all the hair from inbetween his pads then go around the foot while it's flat on the grooming table, so it's nice & neat & round. That's about all I do with mine... but, they are broken coated, not roughs. They say a rough coated dog should be shown as such and not stripped right back to look broken or smooth, however if I had a true rough coat I'd want them looking as neat & tidy as possible... without taking it too far I hope that was some help... but probably nothing that Raz hasn't already told you. Shame you aren't down in Perth as I could give you a hand!
  22. My little guy at 5 months squats to pee. Have seen him kinda aim, kinda cock, a few times over the last few days though. I swear he deliberately peed on a toy that was laying on the lawn on the weekend. Little sod.
  23. It's funny, I just can't bring myself to feed a carcass. They get chicken necks, and sometimes I stand and stare at the carcass in the shop and even pick a tray up... then don't bother. Bugger it - I'll buy some and give them each one, I'm sure they'll LOVE it!!
  24. Hmmmm, I'd like to see what my Jacks would do if I gave them a whole egg?! They're only little tackers! This could be quite amusing...
  25. Thanks everyone for your replies. She is almost positive that the vaccination was a C5 as this is what she's always had. Regardless, it's still a violent reaction to a vaccine (of any kind??) and a huge worry. Must admit I found it strange that it was given in her bum (or side), as I've only ever heard of it and seen it being given under the skin at the back of their neck. I will pass all this info on to her (any other replies yet to come). Thanks again guys
