They don't necessarily both get them... had a dog with ear mites and not one of the other 24 had them...

peibe, I am so sorry to read of this. I know how hard you worked to get that Pei girl out. And little munchkin Pippa... beautiful girls. Another two running free...

As far as the non-herding breeds go, if its all done under guidance i have no issues with it. I know plenty of non-herding breeds living on property that help out. I believe that it can only be good for someone to see and understand their dogs behaviour around stock, and be able to develop a level of control.

I have a mini poodle who works the goats and sheep. He amazes visitors with his skills.

Oh gee, Jodie, I just saw this. What a time you are having atm... hope you get some positives for Ollie. Also that time spent with your nan was good for all of you.

She was very old. The worst thing I had to do was ring her owner with the news (she moved into a home). She had tried to phone me the day Lupi died (damn phone was out then) and she said she knew something was wrong. Lupi lived with us for 18 months. Funny little thing who loved her tucker and cuddles.

She's buried under a bottlebrush... two oldies in a month... and you think getting them through the winter, you're set for another twelve months...

Lupi was sent on her way to wait at the Bridge, on November 9. Her body was shutting down and we felt it the kindest thing to do. Old girl is missed.

On November 9, Lupi was sent to the Bridge to troll around with Lucy... two old chooks together.

Well she's currently asleep on the floor in the lounge room in front of the fire... silly old chook always sleeps there. It is her heart and she's home for the weekend, no pain. We'll say goodbye to her on Tuesday, but I hope she decides it's her time whilst she's asleep here and just forgets to wake up...

She's never been cold or hungry, this one. She belonged to a lady who had to move into a home and she loved her for 17 years. The rest of her time has been with us.

She is a Fox Terrier.

Thanks Greatdanegirl... she's 20... so it could be anything. Poor old chook has had a stroke and she has cancer. This might be her last car ride...

Old dog last night, drank water bowl dry. Walked a few paces and vomited the lot up. She did it again about an hour later.

Any ideas?

And of course she is going to the vet....

What you pay for is what you get... the premium brands are more expensive, but the quality is there.
