  1. I could write a book on some of the dogs I've had to groom, one was so gummed up with poop and matted hair it could not use its bowels, and when I eventually, (with a mask on and dry reaching) clipped it all away, its bum was red raw.

    Disgusting.................

  2. I do give my 3 whippets fish oil, and have been trying to research just which type of glucosmine formula would be the best to give Skye, it seems that a combination of glucosomine and chondroitin is better, do you have any suggestions Witheverythingiam?

I have heard some good reports about Sachsas blend, but I have also heard of some dogs who just vomit it straight up.

    Thanks,

  3. Thanks for the feedback, my 10 1/2 year old whippet has just had her third shot, and she does seem to be much better, but my vet just said we'll fix it up at the end of the course, and I was wondering if I'd have to rob a bank or mortgage the house or something similar. Anything for my beautiful girl...............

  4. I am constantly amazed at the number of new poodle puppy owners who come to me for grooming, and when I discuss their grooming needs, say "Whatever you do, I don't want him to look like a poodle"......................I have heard this so many times over my 30 years as a groomer.

  5. My whippet had a reaction to her vaccination when she was 2, after having had no reaction at all before. She was extremely lethargic, and weak, but came good after a few hours. Since then my vet has given her cortisone and antihistamines 15 minutes before her vacc, and last year stopped the cortisone and just gave the antihistamines and we had no reaction. My girl is now nearly 10, and I am wondering about ever having her vaccinated again, surely she has built up enough immunity by now.

  6. New balance? or Natural Balance (or natures balance)... whichever it is..

I feed it... the organic chicken based dry food with no soy protein added...

my dogs love it :) and do well on it... and it is competetive to other deluxe dog foods in price.

When I looked on the website they said it was made from lamb, I couldn;t see any reference to chicken, is this a new product they have brought out?
