  1. I work there (when im not on maternity leave) we take excellent care of the dogs, we have staff on that do nothing other than walk the dogs and spend time with them, its a great facility, interesting to know ive probably played with some dol dogs and didnt even know it :-)

  2. Well as a non-rescue person, I can say my response as an owner would be to sue to hell and back any rescue organisation or individual that took my dogs in without taking them to the pound for proper processing so I could find them.

It isn't likely they will ever be in that situation but if somehow the worst happened and they did get loose, and they were stolen like that, I'd pursue every legal remedy available. That is seriously evil s**t to do to someone who has lost an animal.

"like".... this is exactly what I would do if my dog ended up with a rescue org instead of being taken to a vet clinic or a pound!!! I would be calling the police immediately and reporting it and then ensuring they are never able to do this to someone again...

  3. I asked them once where my donation would go and if I donated would the be immediately getting the dog in question out... response? the donation would go towards the vet bill, no response to my question of if they would then get the dog into foster care! as far as I know the dog went to another rescue org!!! im tired of hearing so much bad stuff about this "org" they should be shut down so reputable and ethical rescues can continue doing their job without being tarred with the same brush....

  4. OMG! im shocked at what im reading! lost/stray animals MUST go to the pound!! most vets will take in a stray but if the owner cannot be contacted or there is no chip the animal MUST go to the pound within 72 hours... Vets do not HAVE to take in strays, most do it as a kindness, at my clinic we take them in if we have the room, if the clinic cages are all full and we have no where to put them we either send them to another clinic (there is one 6 streets away) or advise the member of the public to take them to the pound themselves... I cannot believe that a rescue would not only take in strays but encourage the public via advertising to hand them over!!! tisk, tisk hope you get your arse kicked over it!!!!!

  5. no dog should be attacking pups, I used to own a badly DA rescue dog, he would try to kill any adult dog (hence why he never saw the inside of a dog park!! or off lead beach either - I never allowed the chance of an incident to happen!! was never let off lead) however he raised countless numbers of foster pups, they could do anything to him without fear of an attack.... any pup was safe with him....

  6. Ruby my gorgeous heart dog, miss her every day! stafford cross - 9yrs old PTS cancer (several forms) and bad arthritis (she only had three legs)

Neo my partners heart dog, amstaff - 10.5yrs PTS suspected brain tumour (sudden and very dramatic behaviour changes)

nehkbet, hugs! you have had the worst luck with your pets passing so young... lucky they had the best of homes for the time they were here!!

  7. unfortunately I wasnt given the option of postage insurance, australia post tried to fobb it off by saying it was never sent from the place K9Pro sent it from  ive never had a package not arrive before aside from this one... these things happen and im not pissed off about it, far from it!! just much more careful about ordering online now! :D despite this happening I do intend on ordering a harness from K9Pro this year but I will be getting the postage insurance ;)

    Hey Roguedog

If it was years ago, you would probably have bought from us when we were still K9 Force - we basically are a different business now in many ways and didn't have the online store then like we do now so insurance wouldn't have been an option. We did still stock some products then but only a few things and not to the volume we have now.

I am really glad you are getting a harness through us - which one were you looking at?

oh we are talking 5 years ago?? probably more?? yes back when it was K9 Force.. i really, really want the boss harness: http://www.k9pro.com.au/products/The-Boss-Agitation-Harness.html and also the DT Works (in training) harness: http://www.k9pro.com.au/productimage.php?product_id=282 any discount if I get both at the same time? ;)

  8. Hi Mirawee

Customer service is a priority for us - we give everyone the option to insure their order, it is available for a small extra charge if people want that added security.

However it would cost us more to insure every order which would mean an increase on product prices. We find our customers prefer that we keep our prices as low as possible (and we are very competitive with our product prices) with the choice to pay extra for insurance if they want it.

  9. ok, just realised my above post sounded a little harsh and I do apologise for the 'outburst' but you seriously shouldnt be basing your opinion on a breed by one incident you witnessed and what you have 'heard' via media... humans love a scapegoat and in this generation it just happens to be the pitbull... they are dogs, no worse than any other, they just happen to attract the worst kind of owners, remove the pitbulls and those owners will sadly just move to another breed and ruin them instead...
