  1. A home is urgently needed for a female short haired cat, Grey with tiger stripes, awaiting pictures, 10 months old, her owners are in detention and about to be deported, she is a friendly girl, needs an indoor only home and someone willing to email her current owners pictures and updates on her. She is vaccinated and I will be desexing her, she is currently staying with a relative of the owners who hates cats and wants her gone asap.
  2. Would also like to know more about the Magnesium flakes, if it can be purchased here, I have been reducing my little dogs medication due to his liver levels being up, so far touch wood no seizures, but if something else could be given that could help I am all for that.
  3. Just reading the possible side effects could your dog be having a bad reaction? But I am sure your vet would of already discussed the possibility. Side Effects of Prozac For Dogs As with any other medication, there is a chance your pet will experience mild to severe side effects while taking Prozac for dogs. This drug is known to alter blood glucose levels and should be carefully considered for dogs with diabetes mellitus. The drug has also shown to produce aggression and/or biting in rare cases. This includes enhancing the side effect in dogs already experiencing the problem, or creating aggression in dogs that were previously non-aggressive. Other side effects to consider are the following: Lethargy or over-calmness Gastrointestinal disturbances Anxiety Irritability or aggression Sleeplessness Hyperactivity Excessive panting Loss of appetite
  4. I am probably not much help, but I avoid putting anything toxic in his system, it seems to trigger his seizures, I go with all nautural preventions. Neem sprays etc.
  5. Thanks! have ordered the powder, being so small I would possibly have an issue with tablets.
  6. .O.K. Ill send you some dandelion to sample too. Both are really great for the liver. Ive just put the powder into the store for you - no postage charge Link Use dogz as the coupon code - any problems give a yell. Sent you a message, having no joy ordering via the site.
  7. Thanks! That would be great, The powder would be good.
  8. My chihuahua just had a blood test done, he is on epilepsy medications and his liver levels are on the rise, my vet suggested using Milk Thistle, does anyone here use it and if so what dose do you give thanks.
  9. I hope that you get him sorted with meds etc, my boy has had epilepsy for 6 years and he copes well. I must look into liver tablets or milk thistle for my boy.
  10. Sounds like seizure activity, you probably need to look at medicating her.
  11. I know the feeling, when Harvey had his first seizure I was on the way to dog obedience and thought he was dying, drove to the emergency vet at break neck speed.
  12. I use advantix on my tiny chi and italian grey x with no problems. I suppose each dog is different.
  13. Epilepsy drops? oh never heard of them. Would be interested in knowing more.
  14. I try to stay away from flea treatments etc, the chemicals do seem to trigger my boy, I use a natural spray and shampoo to treat him, also vaccinations did with him, he gets a 3 yearly one now. As far as diet goes I did try all sorts of diets but did not see a difference, he now gets Wellness weight control now and for pill taking he gets advance sensitive canned, never had him refuse, cheese worked for a while as did chicken, another thing the medication can cause weight gain.
  15. Yes Anne, he has had two episodes with Bromide I forgot to mention that, he all of a sudden started walking into walls no coordination, had me convinced he had a tumour! I reduced the Bromide by half after calling the vet and he was instantly better, he is now on quarter of a tablet twice a day and touchwood he has been fine since. Harvey's seizures are now when he has them very mild he always only has one and is fine in a couple of minutes, he always has a bit of valium during a seizure via the rectum and a valium tablet once he is awake. Over the years he has been hospitalised twice once because he had a cluster 4 years ago now and while i was away of course, the last time was 2 years ago when he did not come out of one as I would of liked. Touchwood last 2 years have been trouble free.
  16. My dog is the opposite, he loves the vet, strange wee dog.
  17. No side effects at all, but when you start the medication as your vet may recommend until they get used to the medication they are drowzy for a few days. Liver levels are checked when on the meds as well when a blood test is done, as the meds for epilepsy can affect the liver, so far my boy is fine.
  18. My wee chihuahua has epilepsy, he got it at approx 3, he is 8 now and in the last year or so his epilepsy has got a lot better from having a seizure once a month he now has one approx one every three or four months, he is on phenomav and bromide, the worst part about epilepsy is you must give the medication every 12 hours, but it is manageable regular blood tests to check levels of meds etc are important, it was scary when he first started having them but try not to worry to much, my boy has a very normal life, has not slowed him down at all.
  19. Wellness, all my dog do well on it, did try VIP grain free for a while but two of my dogs had issues on it.
