  1. So now that I have found a supplier, what should I buy? What is best for a little fatty? I'm thinking maybe the kangaroo. I would have asked the lady I spoke to on the phone- she was polite, but definitely not in the helpful mood.
  2. I have been using EQYSS for a 18 months. It's a bit pricey but I don't wash my dog very often so that's not a big deal for me. I have almost finished the second bottle. I started using it because it's medicated and is meant to help with a variety of skin conditions. I'm not sure if it's appropriate for skin probelms due to allergy issues, but I am very confident that it has never caused or worsened my mutt's itchy/dry skin. Last time I placed an order, I got the spray too. I use that when he has red skin under his front legs (armpits! !). The smell isn't so great - not unpleasant but I definitely wouldn't use it as a perfume. My dog smells nice the next day when it's faint though. I hope this helps with some of your questions!
  3. Thanks Joypod!! Keilor Park sounds like it's AGES away from me, but it's only 23 km! That's as far as I drive to work, so that's easy. http://www.barfcentralvic.com.au/ I've been doing some googling. This might help! ETA: Even better: http://www.barfvictoria.com.au/distributors.html
  4. I thought I'd jump on the end of this thread rather than commit the internet sin of starting a new one on a tired topic.. Are there any suppliers of BARF patties or rolls in Melbourne? Anything else that Melburnians would recommend? I am currently using Vets All Natural, plan to switch to half-homemade-vegetable-slush and half VAN for the vegetable portion of my dog's diet - but when I go away in around Christmas, my brother won't be as diligent, so I would like a convenient alternative.
  5. I agree with Terrorbull. And why not keep him on the lead when you go for walks? Or at least pay more attention to him. My dog is an obsessive scavenger too, stays on the lead at all times, and he manages to find bones in our street. When he gets into things he shouldn't eat, I tell him to DROP what he has and reward him with something much more exciting (treats). (OT, does anyone else have neighbours who leave bones in the street?)
  6. Sorry guys, maybe I was really lucky! Eh, disappointing. I got the bags from the shop at The Glen (Springvale Rd, Glen Waverly). I've bought the dry food from the Richmond store before, and I'd expect that store to discontinue it as well (that's what happened when Eagle Pack was discontinued - both stores no longer carry it). The cans are small sized, maybe around 500 g, and are not discontinued (yet) as far as I could tell.
  7. That's a fair concern. Some of the bags were Best Before October this year, and the rest (that I saw) had a year before they reached their Best Before date.
  8. Eek! I hope everything goes ok. Lucky you got this checked out.
  9. Hi everyone, My mother and I just got back from Macro Wholefoods. I was annoyed when they stopped stocking Eagle Pack Holistic dog food, and it looks like they're discontinuing Ziwi Peak now too. I stocked up though - bags are normally $27, now they are $10.50! I have fed Jake Ziwi Peak before and he loves it. I like to use it as treats for training, or added to his regular food (raw and Evo). To me it's a bit like ultra gourmet Evo. SO - if you are looking for bargain, high quality food, go to Macro Wholefoods (click the link to find a store in NSW or Victoria). Happy shopping!
