No, of course not Iggy Mum! The aim is to try to do a photo a week, and by pushing yourself to achieve this you will get more out of the challenge, but no one would jump up and down if you miss a week or two :)

Anyone keen to do a 52 week photo challenge? All greyhounds are DNA tested. And all greyhounds in Victoria must be microchipped as puppies as part of the registration process.
-
Thanks everyone! Andisa, I'm not sure the venue yet - it will either be here in Seymour or down in inner city Melbourne.

We are organising a ladies high tea for people who have adopted our greyhounds, and are looking at fun pampering options for both the humans and the dogs. While I'm not personally a fan of painted nails on dogs, I thought it would appeal to many of our adopters and would be a bit of fun on the day :) . I've googled and am struggling to find a groomer in Melbourne who does it. We'd need someone to come along on the day.
-
A question that is a bit odd - sorry! Does anyone know if there is a groomer in Victoria who does nail painting on dogs? Kind regards, Larissa

Gone to one of our foster carers who spotted her on another site we listed her on . They are delighted to be able to adopt her.

Thanks Bertie! Home found for this lovely girl :D -
Pet home, accidental mating so not registered :)
-
A shameless plug - we have a little brindle girl looking for a home. PM for more info :)

We have a lovely little seven week old brindle girl looking for a home. If anyone is interested in her please email [email protected]. Thanks!

I guess they are saying that as she has no ear tattoos, there is no proof she is a purebred greyhound and therefore does not have to comply with the legislation.
-
Thank you! Guess I've definitely never seen one. That's a worry

There are some photos of the NSW green collars here: http://www.greenhounds.com.au/what-is-a-greenhound.html Basically a greyhound in NSW has to wear this collar or a muzzle. Minimax, do you think their practices have improved since Greylvr was posting here in December?
-
OK. They seem to have a few greyhounds in their care. I'm not on facebook - do they still have a facebook page?
-
Thanks Minimax, just found them too. So from a quick read it seems the group isn't perhaps brilliant, and are now operating in NSW rather than Victoria?
-
Hi all, Has anyone heard of this group: http://www.petrescue.com.au/groups/10622?page=2 Can't find a website and trying to find out more about what they do etc.

Thanks CC!

I'm sure there would be coursing in NSW Pesh - just google National Coursing Association NSW and you should find the site. I'm not sure about up there, but the coursing people down here are very warm, friendly and welcoming.
-
Yes, of course Anne - you are welcome to share them :)

He did a brilliant job Kirislin, he was great with the dogs. I asked if it was ok that I came and stood behind him and they were happy with that, as long as I kept out of the way. I also went and stood in the catching pen but I was much more at risk in there of being bowled over so I didn't stay long

Today we stood out in the freezing weather at Longwood for the coursing. For those who have never been, coursing is where two greyhounds are hand slipped behind a lure (either a trolley lure like a normal race track, or a drag lure). The dog who wins the course will then go on against the winner of the previous course etc. It's great fun, very family orientated, and completely different to circle racing. Being checked by the vet beforehand On the way to the start Being put in the slips Racing White collar wins Heaps more photos here My link
