I only just found this forum, and thought it was just the place to put a tribute to my gorgeous girl.

Cossa was brought into our lives, by family friends, when she was rescued on the side of the road at about three months of age. She arrived around the time i was born, and always loved us kids.

The big black girl was there to protect and mother, and to love. She was my lifelong companion. She was my dads best mate, and they'd walk everywhere together.

Coss would grab the soccer ball and play soccer with us, nosing the ball around, and she'd always be there to cry on, with a gentle nudge and a lick.

One day i'd had two teeth removed and she was over at my grandpas. I walked in the door and bent down to give her a cuddle, she couldnt get up the stairs with her arthritis. She was really worried as my face was swollen and wouldnt stop nudging and licking at my cheek, trying to figure out what was wrong. The darling.

I still remember your last hours, and i wish i didnt have these memories of you girl, seeing you lying on the floor having a seizure, and no longer having use of your back legs. You couldn't walk, you couldn't hold you your head up. I'm glad i was there to hold you and say goodbye to you though. I just wish it didn't end the way it did. Tash was worried, and didn't understand why you couldn't come and play, we still miss you every day, and go and visit your gum tree whenever we are at Dads.

I love you my big black princess.

You are the angel of my heart, and in my memories always.
