What To Feed My Shepherds

Hi all!

As I'm new to the Forum, I hope I'm doing this correctly! LOL

I have a black and tan shepherd girl who is one this month and also a black shepherd boy who is 10 months old. I'm just wondering what everybody else feeds their shepherds?

Hi and welcome.

I own 2 german shepherds and they are doing extremly well on Orjen food,no grains at all with a bit of raw-chicken carcass,brisket bones etc

I love Royal Canin for all my dogs. They have a GSD formula but also just a large breed formula and I have seen many stunning shepherds on that food

My black boy gets Nutro (which is no longer available but I have a big stock) chicken carcasses, turkey wings, lambs necks, lamb shanks, sardines, tuna, yoghurt, raw eggs with shell, turkey mince, vegies. Lots of raw meaty bones.

With kibble sometimes it is a matter of trying a few to see which suits your dogs

My guys are currently getting Uncle Albers along with meaty bones - however in the past i've used Royal Canin and Proplan with great success

mines just on RAW meat from the butcher

e.g. lamb necks , heart, liver , chicken carcus necks wings thas sort of gizz
