Getting White, White Again

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

I am new to this forum and I need some advise on getting whites white.

I have a 4yr Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and just starting out in showing.

I have done a few shows but No one in the clud helps you with anything.

I need to get the bit on the nose white as it was stained by spaggetti.

Thanks to OH.

Cheers

How often does your dog eat spaghetti?

If it's not often, are you sure that's the culprit. It's not tear stains by chance? Posting a photo of the stain would help.

Sunlight soap followed by a good whitening shampoo is usually good for stains.

What club are you a member of - is it a dog training club?

No, the OP asked about getting their dog white.

The nose was just part of it.

They are wanting to show.

Could be a lot of work getting the whites, white enough to show..

Could even come down to stripping and bleaching the coat out.

That could be a lot of work and money wasted if the dog is not show quality. :p

Yes a photo would be a good idea. I was wondering about spagetti too  My old blenheim girl was nice and white till the day she died and it had been a very long time since she'd been in the show ring. What conditions has he been kept in?

Hi guys.

Yes she is show quality. Long story I will try to keep it short.

She was my mother inn laws bitch and she showed her from a pup.

The M/inn law died. F/ inn law cut her coat.

She has been breed from by F/ inn law.

I now have the bitch and one of her pups.

The spag was a once off.

Her coat is a lovely white just the nose.

Im showing my M/ inn laws bitch as per her last wish to me.

i will try to get a pic tommorrow?

Thank you for all the sugestions.

Your comment/question is hardly relevant in such a thread, why not contact them privately...

People shouldn't have to justify themselves about show quality when they ask a simple question.

Surely, that's up to the OP? It's her dog and her money and questioning as to whether the dog is show quality is simply irrelevant and rude.

Amber11.... I use Animal House Mighty White and Brite.... Works well for my guys.

They also get bathed once maybe twice a week, as being boys sometimes they do not have very good aim.

I would be interesed in seeing photos of your girl
