I'm Confused.... what is that all about - a permit is required when more than 5 animals housed on property???

I referred to the website, but the links as described are not there.

I think it is just a reminder to DV members, that in some councils, if you own more than 5 dogs

you are often required to have a permit - to be registered as a Domestic Animal Business.

But DV members can have exmeptions from the requirement to be registered as a DAM.

depends where you live - I know where I do, with our council, only those in the city areas do, where I am (on 38 acres) under that same council, due to the property size, we don't need a permit for either dogs or cats to go over the limit of 2 dogs or 2 cats.

ah ok, that makes a bit more sense, thanks Linda.

i'm surprised I'm the only one who found that information a bit vague as to what it is actually referring to - a business, or a home, in relation to Dogs Vic members or to the Dogs Vic insurance policy....
